Don't worry about the shard. I still love the series and it doesn't spoil my enjoyment to watch it. I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way.

Honestly. Just do skotizo log with slayer log. When you start the slayer log make a rule like "if a task can be done in the catacombs then I must do it in the catacombs" you will Green both easily

I don't count the shards as Skotizo. People get 90% of their shards from monsters in the catacombs vs Skotizo. The shards are really only on his log because he guarantees them per kill.
Ancient shards are more of a miscellaneous log or quest item upgrade material imo.

I finally decided to sit down and start the Bryo grind on my IM this week. After 10k cannonballs and 47 keys, I managed to snag my staff. Pretty hyped. Those F2P key bosses are one hell of a grind.
Don't press bout the shard just do it when your account is ready :)
It will happen in the future. It's just added about 3 logs I wasn't previously doing but that's fine :')
I did some math, and that stash of bones - assuming those are Big Bones - should be enough at the chaos altar to get you overheads!
Slay brother's obor grind? swamp man's temple trekking? Verf's skotizo torture in the future? You got yourself a sub, gl man.
tbf i feel like ancient shard should be an exception. you would have had to kill things for konar for slayer to complete the slayer collection log, and she would have given you catacombs tasks eventually...
yes true, i really dont see the big problem. end of the day this should also be fun for viewers to see and I dont really think anyone wanna see u mindlessly grind skotizo for 2 years before starting slayer
Or don't make the exception to do Konar tasks and do slayer elsewhere. You don't need to make an exception, every catacomb monster exists elsewhere.
You have to do Konar to get some items on the log, so you can't just not do Konar
@@huntermurdock6796 That's a really goods point I forgot about. Then the plan for what Zayzed should have done, is do the skotizo log before slayer, then ride konar slayer for a really long time till all brimestone key items were obtained. Either way, the suggestion to just make an exception for ancient shards is still unnecessary.

I dont think this is the right way of looking at the problem. Going off this logic you will break your account when geting the d pick causing you to start 9 different collection logs, or if you get wyrm drops that are on the same table as hydra. I feel like if you are only focusing on doing the task at hand multi collection log slots are fine. However i do feel like you will need to do 10kc for redemption
The difference is it's not on misc at all, only skotizo, but that seems more like a game oversight to me than a logical restriction given that all the catacombs monsters drop it

Here’s a thought, because of how annoying it is to get totems you could make scotizos log a do over time log like the misc log!
I plan for it to be the last log I do before the slayer log. So basically I plan to now do that log, Zulrah due to the Onyx and now phantom Muspah to help farming the totems. So that comes out to like 2000 hours to complete all their logs on droprate so I am just gonna commit to the mistake :')
I like longer videos. Watching 10 minute video of short clips from 100 hours of progress doesn't feel right. Looking forward to the journey man. Gz on clog

Enjoying the series so far - I just found it today. I originally thought that the no shop restriction was a bit dumb/unnecessarily convoluted, but I kinda get that it does make the series a bit more interesting now. But I do think it is a bit unnecessary in some cases (e.g. runes, ammunition, common items like knives etc). Just a suggestion, but how about if you just can't buy EQUIPMENT from shops instead? Unlocking upgrades is pretty fun, but doing things like grinding out mind runes is just kinda tedious imo.
Either way, I'll keep watching, and I'll probably check out the boss locked series next. Gl.
Also, just one more suggestion that some people might disagree with, but could you record on fixed screen? Everything is too small in a video format unless you're watching UA-cam on a massive screen. I'm watching on my phone right now, so everything is tiny.

I had an account idea based on the extreme chunk/log accounts where its a extreme drop for every single monster in the game i started with goblins had 10k kills in a week then 20k and then i discovered that you need 32 quest points for the champ scroll. I havent logged on again yet.
On another note they should do another floor of that place with the mind golems for members and have other golems and a final floor with a demiboss.

Appreciate you being transparent about the shard but honestly I think most of us will just agree that you can continue the account by treating it as if you never got it. No worries at all honestly.

Turael easy mobs slayer tasks in the catacombs is the easiest way to get shards, they're fast.

I don't think the ancient shard is a big deal, doesn't take away from the series if you just drop it. I wouldn't grind Skotizo before the account is ready, we'd rather see more episodes and make a small exception.
It will be the last log I do before I start the slayer log. So I have a lot of logs to do because of it and that's what makes it a 2000 hour grind. For example I plan to do Zulrah and the phantom Muspah before the Skotizo log because they will help complete it, but I didn't plant to do them previously :)

What would you have done about the ancient shard if you got a catacombs slayer task? I think this problem was enviable on this account... you just found it early.

in my opinion you really should just consider skotizo a passive log, one you complete side by side with slayer.

To my knowledge there is no way to get totem pieces without an option to get shards. Will that be an exception?
When I start the grind for it later it will be fine. Since the shards are a part of the miscellaneous log which is a passive log for me. So once I start the Skotizo log it will be good

If you are locked to collection logs can’t you do the GOTR mini game for runes?
You and others may disagree with me when I say this, but I really don't think honest mistakes should count. Like, I get it, account integrity and all that, but you're human like the rest of us. Give yourself some grace.
Random question but you use stretched mode? What resizable scaling percentage do you use
If I am using my 2k monitor I use 125% if I am on the 1080 monitor I use 63%. To keep the inventory and other text clear I also change the UI scaling to Catmull-Rom in the 117HD plugin or you can change it to that in the GPU plugin if you use that :)

Yeah I did but unfortunately the shard drop is only on Skotizo's table. I thought it was a shared drop with the miscellaneous table which would have made it fine but yeah. Bit of a big mistake on that one

It is a priority to get the log completed before I start my goal of slayer but currently the log will have to wait for all the other logs it's opened up. Basically to do the log I want to finish 3 other logs first. Because if I started the log right now with it's onyx drop being a 1/1k and my fastest method would be hill giants like Verf then you can imagine that taking even longer than him since he has about 500kc at the moment. So it's going to be the last log I complete before locking myself away to the slayer log

People might not agree with me but - I think you should have to go for the skotizo log regardless. Unlike verf you have access to Arclight and have the ability to do all the clues you get from the boss and the monsters that are around it. Of course you're series but it's something I would like to see :)
I was going to go to a meeting, then saw this was out. Sent a mass text to postpone the meeting to tomorrow. We call that the boss benefit.

1/256 droprate halved is a droprate 1/512 which is a decrease. You probably meant doubled to 1/64 which makes sense because an increase in droprate means the item is dropped more frequently
I would say, as much as I enjoy the series, I'd vastly prefer if you were to stay at skotizo and do it now considering what happened, but at the same time I get it too.
You clearly want to make some enjoyable content, and between this and Boss Locked, I've been loving watching the series, shoving yourself at Skotizo at this stage of progression would just absolutely mess with everything and put the account down an awful rng locked ditch that it clearly isn't prepared for, so it makes full sense why you're just continuing on as is.

If I did Skotizo now with my maths and based of Verf's speed it would take 5+ years. So ummm there wouldn't be another video

@@ItsMrLee Yeah it actually did sorta take 6 months because of that drop. I didn't log in for about 75 days after it and was honestly just thinking about restarting the account. But I planned around it and that's where the 2000 hours comes from to make up the mistake lmao. So yes still a little crazy
No shame on the screw up, ybh its your series, you can make any exceptions you want since it is just a game after all. Though I would maybe still kill them there for the pieces in the meantime for the inevitable grind pre slayer log
It's fine. When I comeback in the future I will have a much better way of getting totems that will make it not too bad to do Skotizo
