I can relate to Lewis. I was an atheist for about 9 years. I am glad I am here now. I am not ashamed of the Gospel. I am reading many of his books and they are very interesting. I love sharing my testimony with many of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I can't keep quiet or my mouth shut about Jesus Christ. Equations and science never filled that void I had for 9 years. Jesus Christ filled that void. I have forgotten what happiness was because I am always filled with joy. Joy>Happiness.

Imagine getting to discuss gods and giants and Asgard with Tolkien and Lewis for hours around a bright fire on a windy, rainy night !!!!!!!

One can only dream to experience so close, complex, and kind-spirited a friendship as these two colossal minds did.

A wonderful lecture, indeed! Pure literary and auditory sweetness! A truly earth-shattering discussion that could have been twice as lengthy, it is a gem that really unwraps the enfonced relationship of these two brilliant and sometimes enigmatic geniuses!! A toast as broad as the Pacific for the scope of the lecture, and to you, uctelevision, for uploading it all!! Thank you!

This is a wonderful lecture on the relationship of these two great men. Thanks so much for posting it. I love that it's an entire hour long; it really allows for more depth and roundness to the discourse.

Might be time to dispense with The Bible according to Dawkins and Hitchens and actually crack the spine of contemporary scholarship of comparitive communions. The Orthodox Church has a wonderful series entitled The Way which should dispel some comforts, and The Catholic Church employs a number of teaching aids to the same effect. Philip Yancy is a modern day Lewis and a journalist and N.T. Wright has provided some wonderful scholarship as a Bishop. For philosopohical considerations - W.L.Craig.

Creativity is in all people, discussing and aspiring to Oxbridge literary grads is admiring the people who had time to be creative. This is a luxury of those who inherit richness and have the ability to manipulate the system to appear 'interesting'. Wake up! The belief in Christ should far transcend the prosaic vagaries of early 20th Century philosophical perspective.

18:40 you can see the filth of Mordor, materialised today in the name of Dawkisns and his ilk, already start to take shape..

#1 was telling him what sexist means. i didn't bring any religion in the statement. And to refer to the Taliban as the views of all muslims is stupid. out of nearly 2 billion muslims you just told me evidence for maximum 1000 people. i don't want to argue this you have your views and i have mine. one question though, how did you get that kind of comment when a just told a person what sexist and sexism mean?

the berka is not a must. infact the berka was only for the prophets wife. the only islamic countries that have that as a law is Saudi and Iran. while UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Morooco are not extremist about it. Islam is a peaceful religion and not sexist, granted that some stupid people in the religion think that they should kill innocents for no reason. Look dude, can you please keep your views to your self and i wil keep mine no need to start a stupid war

  • @NilDesperandum777

Because Islam is synonymous with sexism and abuse. In short, your comment and your YT moniker.

  • @thehdaboor99

islam is neutral. its just some exremist wait no stupid people that don't give women equal right. and if your gonna say what about the berka or the hijab. they are optional if a woman wants to wear them or not.
