The editing in the beginning was so nice like an intro to a fun movie!🌸 …and then it took an apocalyptic turn with the empty architecture building tour right after HAHHA😭 (no one’s in studio on a Saturday night)
This is an amazing video! I am attending SLO as an incoming architecture student for the next fall quarter! I was considering Syracuse as school of choice, but in the end I had to acknowledge its larger reputation of being a top school. Education was my number 1 criteria and with SLO having an arch acceptance rate of 8% and being #1 in Cal, top 5 in the nation for arch, I was put into a position to choose SLO no matter what. Although SLO is merely a regional school, the word passes around about SLO's top architecture program seemingly passes around the globe. The adopted motto of "learn by doing" really says a lot about the college and how after you graduate, you don't look for a job, the job finds you. Don't give up the final year and finish strong! Thank you so much! Congratulations on your SLO acceptance and I wish you the best for your first year of architecture school! Thank you for sharing your story as well, I’m sure this info and statistics will help other viewers that stumble upon this video too :)
Hii I’m a hs junior I’ve been considering cal poly for architecture and was wondering how hard it is to get accepted. What would you say are reasonable stats (ap classes and grades) or extracurriculars that would help? Also, I know they don’t require a portfolio but would it still be helpful to submit one (is that even an option lol)? Thx in advance if you read through all of this! :D
hello!! you can find the general stats here (www.calpoly.edu/admissions/first-year-student/selection-criteria/student-profile) and also google for the SAT/ACT. sadly there is no way for you to send a portfolio :( for extracurriculars, showing dedication is better than spreading yourself too thin, especially by highlighting any leadership or community service you may have! good luck!!
