Oh, how fun it would be to indulge in the world of art collecting. Sigh. But I confess, I've had great fun over the years collecting vintage objects that have a lot of personality and that tell stories. That's been quite satisfying actually.

I notice he said Richard Prince was good. No way is Richard Prince and artist. A con man, YES
He'd photograph something, like a Camel Cigarette advert poster and then take the film to a shop and have it blown up to five foot high and then put his name on it. And then sell it for ridiculous money to some idiot who doesn't no shit from shinola
A brilliant con man NEVER an original artist. And he's not alone. There's a huge amount of em out there that couldn't draw a figure or a face to save their lives
Then of course you hear all the "catch phrases" "Oh, he's a good colourist" or "He's captured the feeling" and as an artist and a hypnotist this the sort of approach a hypnotist will use in a script he designs "Take positive steps into a new future" Think about it. How many times have you heard that sort of spiel that means nowt and is difficult to ever quantify
Here in Thailand there are some brilliant artist who can draw, paint - knock out a very good portrait. Some better than others, but they're artists who know the basics of oil painting
Kind regards to all - Chris in Thailand WWW.100Temptations.com

If you are offering to share an interesting and possibly important conversation is it important to dress it with inane, irrelevant background white noise or muzak as one would do with an engaging kitchen table conversation or a lecture? If not perhaps your audience will find your content wanting or their concentration will wander because of some intellectual deficiency. However if they are not particularly intellectually deficient perhaps they will find this implication insulting. What a difficult choice to make. Why not go with thoughtless fashion. No need to genuinely improve the quality of life on the planet. ' just another mindless consuming....

    ARTIST CRAFTSMAN & ENTREPRENUERS:
My worse fear on returning to America after living and earnings a living in west-Africa eleven (11) years as a jewelry-craftsman were to depend on someone or organization for a job.. And All praises to the Creator, it wasn't necessary.. Thanks to the wisdom of a dear friend, Dr. Margaret Burroughs who during one of her visits to Ghana, I enquired as to could I earn a living as a craftsman when I return to America?
"Kojo, no one gonna give you a job unless you've been authenticated, so your best bet is to do as you have done here (Africa) MAKE YOUR OWN JOB. which eased my mind on the matter.
