So much so that we're thinking of hosting a mini-escape for our AMAZING UA-cam audience!
We headed into Taita to view 2 very different properties; One, a beautiful luxury Lodge on a Sisal Farm - Hildana Lodge. The other a simple, but quaint wallet friendly hotel in the hills - Taita Rocks Hotel

'"Hotel" idea for roadside eateries got to East Africa from India. Traditionally the "Duka" had the dukawalla living in quarters behind the shop. So many roadside food stalls/ cafes had paying accommodation at the back, and will still see that in small east African towns, though no longer as often. They were basically "hotels", but the word for cafes stuck as "hotels".
Wow! Taita Hills... a beautiful place. I would love to visit.

Wow can't believe you guys went to chulu hills the original name is (kyulu hills). Am in Nairobi but am from Mtito-Andei so kyulu is home.
Option 2, if accommodation is 3 star atleast.
The "mandazi" is the triangle one, and "mahamri" is circular, and ingredients are different. But the difference is usually at the coast.
Mmmm not sure if this is the case. Mahamris are also triangle everywhere on the coast. This is is the first time we've encountered them circular...🤷♂️

One of the most amazing vlogs. Why. That Hildana Lodge is just awesome. having hundreds of wildlife right next to your rooms and dinning is something to behold. Hildana lodge is relly not known. Never heard of it but mann its something else. Secondly, the hiking. Little swizerland was good sad for the cutting down of trees. Then the sisal farm. Wish you could have had a vlog just on the sisal farm. I will recommend this sisal farm to other vloggers who go around the country vlogging sites unknown. Thansk so much for this informative vlog

The way you the mahamri is roll it up in the sausage. Tamu Sana. I learnt this trick when i was going to school. My all time favorite when i was in secondary school in Nairobi the canteen used to sell donuts and samosas. You roll the donut on the samosa it was heaven. combine donut and samosa. Same way roll the mahamri onto the sausage instead of eating them seperately. Try it one day

Jambo where next family you ask about mahare really mahare original are triangle but now here in Kenya we have Arabs how are over centuries leves I coast of Kenya came from Yemen 🇾🇪 they are thr one make mahamre round shapes swahiki triangle 🔺️ ones next between roti and chapte chapte are made with oil and have leyes and a little thicker and roti no oil only mix of water and thiner and mix with whole wheat just whant to add about ina love so much nature you can c her have fool of joy on her face I think samburu or taita hills of round mount Kenya 🇰🇪 will be very suitable for her for hiking and camping there is lake Ellis in the southern slopes of Mount kenya 🇰🇪 very very butefull places to vist I think there about 5 or 6 lakes to c if Ian not mistaken or look at kenya wildlife services Web site or Facebook thank you where next family 🇰🇪 🐘 🦏
