The lodge itself is stunning, with a lot of space to relax, a fireplace area and large pool which can be needed as this region can get fairly warm in the summer months. But the highly, is for sure the waterhole, located just a few meters in front of the main lodge. Every single time we walk by or went for a meal some elephants were there drinking and enjoying the water. In fact, we saw up to 47 of them at once during one warm afternoon.
The rooms are beautiful and comfortable with a touch of modern which we truly loved. You might even be lucky and see a few elephants without even living your bed.
Hildana Lodge is also part of a larger picture. This property is located on the largest sisal farm in the world and we highly suggest that you take a couple hours to go visit. It was very interesting and educating to see this impressive operation.

Thank you so much. We do a lot of Kenya because I actually work in Nairobi. Most of what you see is filmed during weekends since I work Monday to Friday.
With that being said, we have done lots of content in other African countries like Tanzania, South Africa, Cameroon, Sudan, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Namibia and we are actually heading tu Uganda tonight! :)

about 120$ per night per person seems not cheap to me to be honest! Did I miss something? Let's say you stay 2 to 3 nights with 2 persons it would be 480$ (2 nights) - 720$ (3 nights) - I dont know it looks all great no doubt but that price 3 days? i dont know if I would call this "cheap"
I do understand your point but we said that compared to all the other 60 something camp we have visited, this is by far the cheapest. Especially for the quality of what you get.
But it is still a lot of money. Sadly safaris are not cheap... :(
You do realise it’s not a 5star hotel right? Where the charge around $100 a night this is an exclusive 8 suite safari camp . Which u have the luxury of swimming while watching elephants almost whole day. Not over crowded pool to swim. It’s a no brainer
Also, don’t forget if you’re coming as an American or Canadian there’s a massive VAT surcharge for entering the parks.

Sadly not. We highly suggest taking the SGR tho. This is how we normally go to Tsavo and we did take it back to Nairobi at the end of that weekend.
