That is correct, it did reach 90k albeit very late in the day and after minimal effort and time input. This bike sold to a private party on the same day the video went up for significantly closer to the asking price. Thanks for watching. The same owner is selling the C1 Restomod I uploaded yesterday on the channel. Cheers. Nik
@@pegasusmotorcycletours Congratulations on your sale. To imply it was late in the day & had minimal effort is downright misleading on your part. The bike was well advertised online prior to the auction & by Mecum. Serious buyers who attend know when these bikes are going to auction....
Flat heads have less power because of airflow dynamics, and limited space as the valves are next to the cylinders. Overhead valves bring the air fuel mixture straight into the cylinder, where with flatheads the air has to turn around reducing volumetric efficiency. Compression was low in earlier engines because of the fuel; detonation was a concern so pressures and power had to be limited. They knew about it but TEL wasn't used until later. Once lead was the standard formula compression was increased. This biked was powerful. 40 hp in a bike when a Chevy Master sedan had 60.
It's all personal opinion, but I will let you know that I was not the one to put this bike together this way. I tried getting more information about the rims or the wheels from the Builder. I too prefer the spokes and honestly a wheel that has no way for wind to pass through it is not safe.

We were at Mecum auctions not that long ago. This bike was there. NOBODY bid over $90 grand for it!!!
