We lived in Charleston , rainbow row east bay street. We now live in mount Macedon in Victoria, Australia 🇬🇧. We chartered in the British Virgin Islands and did your holiday.
The davit crane is very well thought out . What a great way to deploy the tender which I noticed was also a cat. another more stable way of getting around. Keep showing more!!!!
What an absolutely wonderful vid. New sub here, but I'm injoying living through you guys. Presently the only child, sole caregiver for my elderly humans. No complaints - just grateful that I'm able. So for now, everything, including purchasing my very first vessel at 60 yrs young (Regal 53 SC), has been put on hold. I say all of that only to say, you just never know how much joy you're bringing to a person when you post videos like this one with your family, an incredible vessel, and wondrous locales like Charleston. All the joy and how much of a blessing it is to take a few moments out of my days and allow the vids to simply take me away for a couple of minutes. Therapeutic is an understatement, but operative just the same. All I can do is dream of that day now, but you're such a blessing to me during this season that I am in. And brother, I don't know what you do or did for a living, but it definitely could have been in on-air radio (30 years here. But on hold for now). GOD bless you all and drive safe on the water. My day WILL come, and prayerfully, I will be able to shed some positive light on someone just like you do. HIS, Rudy... Luke 1:37!
Nice job Allen. Always look forward to your posts. I don't think you were too critical of the boat in previous videos. You only pointed out actual problems either in design or craftsmanship. When you spend that kind of money, you expect perfection however, it's a boat! The last boat that claimed to be perfect hit an iceberg! You convey the fun factor in all your videos and that's what make them fun to watch. It's never about you, it's about the experience. Paul & Linda s/v The Friendly Confines
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, you sometimes scratch your head about things but overall I’m very pleased and very excited to get it out in to blue waters instead of muddy ones! Thanks again for your comment.
Glad you guys had a great two trips up to Charleston. Hopefully our Southern Hospitality showed well. You gottta stay right until the end of the dock coming out of Shem creek….I guess you know that now 😀. Did you make a stop at Daufuskie?
This is my first video as I just discovered your channel. Love the boat and definitely inspires me. I am a current boater and moving to Florida in about a year and I’ve considered getting a bigger yacht so I could travel to the Bahamas and so forth. Anyways, love the channel and we’ll keep watching
I'm a local in the Savannah/Beaufort area and we had more rain than any of us can remember during those couple of weeks you were visiting and filming. But great to see the happy attitudes, love and fun you and your family had regardless! You definitely want to do a Hilton Head trip along with stopping at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton.
Family and friends are what it's all about, you guys are obviously having a blast. So happy for you Alan, I know you're realizing a dream. I've been eyeing a 70, I plan on living my dream soon. Maybe you've answered this already but why did you choose Savannah as your homeport when you live in CA? Were there no closer (or better) options? I suppose it could also be the proximity to the Bahamas?
first, thanks for watching! means a lot. I've never wanted a boat in Cali cause the water is too cold and it's way too crowded and frankly, no where to go. Florida and The Bahamas...and possibly BVI are far more superior boating areas. Warm water...beautiful places to stop. She's currently in Savannah for insurance purposes. The companies don't like that I'm 3000 miles away from my vessel.
Oh I saw it. It was between mine and that one for me. Full beam master and the ability to walk from the helm to the bow sold me on Aquila! Thanks for watching
Yay!! First!! Great fam!! Glad everyone had a great time. South Carolina is a beautiful state. Loved the Spanish moss. Never get tired of seeing that.
Thanks so much
thanks for sharing! beautiful boat and family....
save travels!
Just found your channel. We live in Florida and boat every weekend. Nice to watch families enjoying boating.
I'm near the East Coast of Scotland in East Lothian and love your videos
I'm a Fleming fan but getting converted to Aquila rapidly

Epic adventures!! 😎🥂

My fathers sportfisherman did not have a portuguese bridge. In most of the videos I see with one, people use it a-LOT. Really convenient.
Can you operate the boat by yourself? Docking?
Rain can not dampen the spirits of true fun loving people.
True!!!! Thanks for watching
My goal is to own and live on one of these. Congrats
Thanks for watching
Lewis barbecue is actually Texas bbq, he started there in Austin and moved to the Carolinas

I like your boat but did you see that Horizon Power Cat on your starboard when you were docking🥰
Oh I saw it. It was between mine and that one for me. Full beam master and the ability to walk from the helm to the bow sold me on Aquila! Thanks for watching

Just wanted to mention that I'm like you very ocd about window and wipers not reaching you might see if rain x will help
It does help to a certain extent. Thanks so much!
MEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAT!👍💯😍🤩🍺👀
did that dinghy come with the boat?
Yup. It was quite an expense but worth it! Thanks for watching
Do you have a rough estimate on annual running cost already? Is the thumb rule of 10% of purchase price an appropriate approximation?
That is an accurate assumption. Thanks for watching
I need me a catamaran!
Passed the fun limit. Police are on the way
Hah. Thanks for watching!!
You have a lot of class I saw your champagne highly approve of The Clique I'm. And your sense of humor is awesome with your Chuck Berry tender boat
Thanks!!!!
