I've been watching your videos and find your lifestyle fascinating. Wondering what it is really like. Do you sail nonstop?? Or go back home somewhere??? Ever encountered pirates??? Looks beautiful.
Hi Christina Over the last few years we’ve had 4 months away from the boat, back in Europe. We live in Bucharest. The life looks amazing on screen but living on the boat does get to you after a while and you start dreaming of a non-rocking bed, plentiful hot water, internet, icecream etc etc. ! 4 month back on land makes us ready to start again. You’ve got to be a real Salty Seadog to live this cruising life none stop :) No never encountered pirates. But we have been robbed in Madrid and other various land-locked parts of the world and we did have an outboard motor stolen in USA! Being at sea is actually pretty safe from a personal security point of view. There are some bad areas with known piracy. But we simple avoid them.
@@SailCloudyBay you two are definitely salty dog. Lol. There is a lot of skill and knowledge you have to enjoy this way of life. I may never be out to sea, but I can experience it through your videos. At least a little bit. I'm in the midwest, usa, flatlanders. Close to farm fields. It's a different kind of beauty.
why are you guys not taking time to explore more places...whats the rush.....i might have not watched where you might have said you are on a time table
John, We aimed to get to Maine by 1-July then saunter back south slowly. Thats what we are now doing. But, even so, there are many places we are missing. One could cruise on this wonderful coast of yours for years!

Good vid ya'll.
Great video and the sound is really great now. I wanted to see the faces of the people there if you really climbed the glass tree 😃
Great video Mate. Sound much improved! Hope you get to enjoy the Chesapeake
where did you stay in charleston?
We anchored next to City marina while visiting Charleston. Then came into the marina when we traveled to Greenwood to see friends.
Which did you care more for, Savannah or Charleston?
We loved them both but Savanna had the edge for historical authenticity. And the night life was superb there. Lots of hidden gems.
