Last year I bought a NB at 58 years old. Been jonesing for one for years. It rocks! Makes me feel young. I'd like to drift it, but I don't want to break it! A great toy for youngsters or oldsters !
Just some tips for everyone about the cambelt thing. Every car with a cambelt should be changed every 100,000 kms (62,000 Miles) the oil doesn't come from the cambelt, its coming from the crank seal. While you there you may as well replace the water pump at the same time because you normally have to remove the cambelt to replace it, it will save you the extra work later. If you have a car with a cam chain, although its not going to break like a belt can, its recommended to replace them every 200,000 kms (124,000 miles) because they do stretch over time. Hope this was some help.
Just to let you guys know, these are the things I found with the NB that I bought. A big thing I didn’t mention and now regret not knowing is you want to check that the subframe isn’t bent as these bend very easily. It’s not a big deal if you can put a new one in yourself but from a shop it’s expensive.
Sitting here at 28 and hear you say your probably a teen wanting a Miata. 😂 nah man I’m near 30

Great video. Definitely want to look into common rust spots on miatas.
The 1.6 engines are the best. 100% Mazda. We have a 2000 NB, zero problems.
Mine costed 2.5k I had to spend around 2k to make it run good and look decent .
Got my NB just before 35, been wanting one since Gra Turismo 2
"They're pretty cheap"
