To everyone commenting about you not being as upbeat, your mood reminds me of how my wife is around the anniversary of her fathers death. It can be a somber part of the calendar. I dunno if thats the same thing going on here, but know your pops would be super proud of everything youve done as a musician. If this isnt it, i Apologize. But thats how it feels from my perspective. And I don’t think you have to be always happy 24/7 everyone has low points. Not everybody has subscribers who care. You do.

Those black winters are monsters. I don’t know who on earth would ever swap it out, it has a fantastic EQ curve and more than enough power to spare.
I agree, my friend bought this guitar (after playing mine) and swapped out his pickup with a bare knuckle. It still sounds good, but the black winter sounded better imo. Fantastic pickup.
Great review man. Personally I prefer the ESP/LTD eclipse over a traditional Les Paul because of how thin the body is and how much more light it is in comparison. But hey to each his own.
I have an ec401vf full thic and a Les Paul std but seem to be picking up my ec256p w p90s made in vietnam i got for 200 bones more than the 2k LP! Its lighter and more comfy.

This makes me want to get a cheap guitar, repaint it with chalkboard paint, and let people doodle on it when they visit the house of masks. Completely irrelevant to the video but I couldn’t help but think about that when I saw the finish of that guitar.

The last three or four videos everyone keeps commenting that he seems sad. He already admitted that he's been feeling depressed, everyone constantly bringing it up probably isn't helping at all. Life gets pretty depressing sometimes and people work through it in their own ways, but constantly reminding someone that they're in a sad place isn't helpful.
You're right, I missed that though. If that's the case, keep fighting. Been there for the last couple of years myself.

Hope you are doing better man. Don’t know what you’ve got going on but know you’re not alone. I’m sure it feels like random people asking but you have built a family with people because of your videos because you always come across genuine. And that’s including the lows. Don’t know ya personally at all but just saying people give a shit. And those who don’t aren’t worth your time.
Hope your ok brother. That’s such a blessing having fans that notice when your not yourself. But on the flip side of that coin it sometimes makes a person fake being happy. I’m glad your being yourself brother and no matter what your fans are your fans.
I'm always curious about ESP/LTD. Thanks for showing us this guitar. Looks like a really durable guitar for metal and other rock genres. I've heard clean tones on this brand, and they could definitely play other genres with some pickup tweaks. I agree that it probably would be better with a thicker body, but some people really do prefer thinner bodies for a variety reasons. Maybe you should try an ESP/LTD single cut with a thicker body. I bet you'd really like those. I'm pretty sure the models that James Hetfield has used through his career are thicker.

I love the simple set up. And I even like the swap to an EMG pickup. Although I would have gone with an 85. The EMG 85 in the bridge position is about as good as EMG gets.

Thanks for the review. I love the looks of these guitars but I've sent my guitar back because of the neck dive. It seems like almost all the guitars in the black and arctic metal series have that problem.

Appreciate you keeping it real. I like the feel of SG’s and lighter body guitars because I am usually very heavy handed with the neck, and with non active pickups the lighter bodies do something for the feel of a guitar for me personally. Thanks for the review on this one 👌 stay metal 🤘

Actually that looks like a great touring guitar.
I can't imagine it costs much. And that black satin finish can probably take a lot of abuse.
But that thing you said about neck heaviness is making me rethink it for gigging a bit. Sucks to fight neck dive while standing.
Idk, people go through a lot of different things, but it's best not to make assumption, or harp on it if a person doesn't want to talk about something. It's best just to say, thanks for the content.
I have an ESP eclipse in matte black and gold ( ESP E-II Eclipse DB VB ) and it is one of the most comfortable guitars I have ever had in my life
The ESP are very connotated metal in the head of people but in reality they can play everything
esp ltd never disappoints but of the "metal" series I prefer the arctic metal. the all white is way better looking. more eye catching in my opinion, but I also like white guitars so I might be bias.

Yeah, I love the minimal nature of this guitar. It's just play and no messing with pickups and tone. Lol. I have the LTD ec 256 matte black but I wish I had saved a little more cash and went with this one. I'm gonna get one eventually. Good vid👍🏻🤘🏻
Ray, LTD EC-comes also in full thickness version. It's the EC-1000T, you should try that one. I've owned the thin version and sold it just to get the thick one.

@@AdamManley7 So much more, but that's because having played Gibsons Les Pauls before, I was used to thick bodies and frankly that was one of the reasons I fell in love with LP shaped guitars in the first place.

the ESP LTD EC guitar's are awsome and do not break the bank! I have and ESP LTD EC-256 and I love it and it blows away so many other single cut guitars in my opinion and they are great guitars for rock and metal!

Love ESP, but had mixed feelings about the black and arctic metal series. However.. Every demo I’ve watched, including this one, has sounded brutal. And at the end of the day, isn’t that what matters?

The LTD te1000 black blast is my newest guitar and IMHO wins this category hands down. For me Les Paul's can't be improved upon.

It seemed like you were alot happier with the Viper 7 string baritone. In general. I have a viper 400 from '05 with the 81/85 setup it it plays and sounds Killer to this day, made in Korea, I got a Jem. But, I've always thought the esp single cuts were (depending on model) a little Thin sounding. Even my Viper has more warm tones than that thing.....

@@deadheadbetty6663 Yep, Mine always stays in tune, I tune it really low too. PLAY hard on the strings, Never have a problem with it going out of tune. Unless I break a string 🤣

Is it weird playing without fret markers? Idk if I'd be able to pull it off. Only thing that has detoured me away from the esp/ltd black metal series and Epiphone goth series. 🤘🏼💀
Ive been playing a gibson gothic for 20+ years and let me tell you it is “weird” to play if you’re used to looking at the neck. And it sucks trying to show band mates a riff “dude what fret is that?” But if you’re standing up and looking down, the side markers are plenty
