George is going to be 70 in September… 70!! And he looks and sounds fantastic. One of, if not the most air guitar worthy sound and feel that ever graced the strings. Thank you for being you George!
Im a Cherokee who coincidentally plays a fixed bridge, hs strat, and my favorite pickup is a 78, and as an all american soldier, I love camo. I love you George, but this is my guitar now.
George is my #1 guitar influencer. People love my vibrato, and I always say, "It's not mine, it's Lynch's." I tried not to copy everything from him, but that vibrato, I had to learn. I had the LTD Skull & Snakes for years and sadly, I had to let it go. Great guitar, and great memories.
George’s playing is what got me to pick up the guitar in the first place. I owned the Haji guitar but had to sell it due to a family emergency. But I can tell ya, these guitars play amazing. Thank you, George for all the music over the years.
I have a 1996 ESP Kami, and I love it to death ....with the exception of having to yank the neck off the guitar for any truss rod adjustments. I'm glad the Desert Eagle has easy access to the truss rod.
I have the Standing Bear Mr. Scary made by the Man himself. It was by chance that I got it. My Father had passed a few months before, and was deep into our NA herritage. I recieved some inherintance He left me, and was looking for a guitar to remember him with. Seemed like fate once I found it. Also purchased a LP Slash November Burst a while later, and after getting it home discovered the completion date was on the same day my Dad had passed away. Deffinetly a trip. Anyway, glad George decided to add this bad ass design to his ESP collection. Also want to add that George called me after purchasing the guitar, and we spoke for about an hour. Totaly unexpected for someone with his fame to spend that ammount of time talking on several topics to someone he doesn't even know. Felt like I had to cut the convo short. It was surreal.
Always like this dude. He just didn't give off "I'm a Rock star" vibe. This is a guy that I would love to sit down in a bar over some cold ones and just talk about things not related to music. Great to see the new guitar. I would buy one but they look like toys in my hands, like Charvels. It's frigging hilarious actually. Do a headstock bend and oh shit, I broke it.
ESP was my ALL TIME favorite guitar company.....I retired mostly from playing and sold ALL my ESP's....I only have a Frankenstrat and 2 Charvel "Frankie" type guitars left to play...2 in Standard and one set 1/2 step down......
I am 58 now. I am a loyal fan of George's since Summer of 1984. I saw George a few dozen times with Dokken and on his own. Monster's of Rock in Philly was superb! I always had hoped for another Tony MacAlpine type of thing with say King Edward, Kendall, Demartini and Lynch since they all knew each other and got along from my understanding. Nice dream of mine but I at least saw each of fav 1980s Rock guitarists. Be well George and thank you for so many smiles when I hear or see you play. 😊
How is your new desert camo? I just got mine two days ago and the back of the neck is not totally smooth. There are fine little specs my fingers feel on back of neck. Like little imperfections. How about yours?
I met him once at his home studio in the late 90s. He told a funny story about picking up his young daughter from school and the teacher warned her to get away from him, not knowing that was her dad, lol. He gave me an EMG 81 because I was into Zak Wylde and wanting to mod my Les Paul. Cool dude.
Very cool. I think ESP has the best headstocks and custom guitars bar none! I used to own a Japanese Queensryche guitar, or one I had painted to match the same. It was a neck thru and was awsome❤.
❤❤❤ LOVE GEORGE'S COMMITMENT TO GUITAR , NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE AND DESERT ANALOGY. I HAVE GEORGE'S ENTIRE CATALOGUE OF ALL THE BANDS HE GRACED. HOPE FELICIA AND I MEET HIM SOON, AMEN❤❤❤
I do not care about brand names, as long as it feels right in my hands, that's all that matters, I love my LTD EC1000, I have other guitars I love 98 Les Paul Standard, 97 SG 74 Strat..but I play that 2011 LTD more than any other guitar because that neck is incredible, I wish all my guitars had as fast as a neck...like a San Dimas fast.
I've got a Kamikaze model some 12 years ago (it hasn't been so easy to find one) and it's still with me in these days ....I've always been attracted by its look and colours....the only thing I did was to replace the original Ibanez pickups...not bad but .... with a pair of Bare Knuckles (hum + single) and that's been a huge step forward to brain pleasure 🙂 ....who knows whether it's now time for a Desert Eagle ?! ....mmmhhhh.....I guess so.
I've lost respect for George over the years. I've either read or ran into people who've confirmed he's a class A butthole. That's of course unless you pay for the backstage fan experience.
If they just added a brass block out of the box........but a 43mm nut on a 45mm neck is interesting. Not as flat as I expected at 305mm but not a major concern........
I met lynch in the uk in 88 AC/DC blow up your video tour supporting them. I met AC/DC as well superb time, but Surely everyone knows that our fav top players won’t exactly tell u what goes in their instruments because it’s their sound.,nowadays now that George is virtually 70 endorsements is their income. I have stopped believing in this hype since my 20s. Great looking guitar and made superbly that’s it, no endorsement hypes
I have had the Snake n Skulls ESP. Skull n Bones and the Flamin Skull. Sold my Skull n Bones, Due to this economy. But I'm Blesed to have the 2 left Both signed by him in 2011. And way I'll be 50 on the 21st. I have Lynchs phone number from talking with him about a previous build several years back but yeah we're 20 years and a few days apart..
My Custom Esp body and finish i had done to look like his See-thru orange Quilt maple on the GL instructional Vhs vid but i went with a black reversed banana headatock like this one.I love it and had it made about 26 yrs ago or thereabouts. GL screamin demon bridge pickup and single coil neck so simple 3 way switch, floyd rose, had the block shaved where the neck bolts on they did a great job with that but its ASH wood with a half inch quilt maple face cuz they wanted another 5-600$ for a full quilt lol.2200$ cash. Now? forget about it, even stock guitars are pricey it seems lol 🤙
Curious about the nut and neck width... 43mm (1-11/16 or R4) nut width but 45mm (1-3/4 or R5) neck width? Maybe to keep strings from rolling off the fretboard? I know George likes the wider 1-3/4 in necks for space between strings, so I'd think he'd want the R5? My 1-3/4 in neck with R5 nut doesn't have any issues with strings staying on the board.
I have one. It’s worth the money. Probably the best LTD that ESP has put out. The case it comes in is outstanding as well…… and yes. $1,700 is a lot. But the ESP version of the Desert Eagle is close to $7,000!!!
I started playing in 1986 and the Kamikaze was my dream guitar. Unfortunately the price tag so far beyond my teenage means. By the time I had the income to afford that expensive of a guitar, I opted to go the custom route with a Carvin built to my specs. But yeah… the Kamikaze remains the one that got away.
Just bought the LTD one today without clearing it with my wife. The retailer called to inform me that it was on backorder only for my wife to hear the phone call. I told her I got a good deal $300. I think I'm in over my head.😅
A Duncan 78’?!!!! and why not a tb6 like announced at NAMM 24’. knowing that the ESP version comes with a George Lynch Arcane pickup. This Duncan 78’ means no sense at all. I preordered the guitar just after NAMM and as soon I saw that you changed the TB6 for a 78’ I cancelled my order. And the price… please it’s an LTD. For the same price I purchased a E-II EX in November 2023.
George is going to be 70 in September… 70!! And he looks and sounds fantastic. One of, if not the most air guitar worthy sound and feel that ever graced the strings. Thank you for being you George!
Yeah, pretty crazy when you consider Angus Young is the same ages...
And look at all that thick hair! Good genes and living a clean life
George King Lynch is probably my favorite Guitarist of all time. I got to add this guitar to my collection.
I watched him on the tube after Eddie died trying to play. It was absolutely horrific.
indeed he is a guitar god and fit a well! Love this guitar and dream of buying the ESP custom shop version. A rock and shredder's delight!
Met George and spoke with him for a while, quite a few years ago now. He was very humble and gracious.
great artists are humble and kind
I could listen to this guy play all day long
ALLLLLLLL day
George is an icon in the rock music world !
Lynch always had amazing tone
Mr Scary himself, one of the greatest guitar players to grace us humans in the Metal Genre!!
Tone ABSOLUTELY unrivaled.
Lynch is a treasure. What a great-looking guitar.
Such a great player
I used to work for ESP. Great company and George is a great guy.

having some native American heritage myself, this would be a dream guitar!
I'm very small part Cherokee...very small, but I'm proud of that. Love this guitar.
I met George during a clinic in Costa Rica and I can tell he is as talented as he is cool nice person.
Walked in music store started playing owner said listen to Dokken much. Influence, heck yeah.lm 66 and it started with Leslie West of Mountain.❤

His tone is smokin'!!!!
Distortion…
The 78 model is an exceptional humbucker it’s a clone of evh early humbucker.
I have an ESP Custom shop Kamikaze from Japan, took a while to find it. That full maple body just sings out. Alder is good too.
George is a legend!!!!!!!!
I just watched George playing that guitar tonight....and he was wearing the same shirt!! Quite an honor to be so close to George jamming on stage.
I have a 1996 ESP Kami, and I love it to death ....with the exception of having to yank the neck off the guitar for any truss rod adjustments. I'm glad the Desert Eagle has easy access to the truss rod.
My Akira Takasaki signature models are like that. Absolutely love them but I hate that old style of truss rod adjustment.
One of my Favorites, Saw him a few times with Dokken i believe with Ronnie Dio its been a long time since the 80s
Mr George Lynch! The best in my opinion. 😊
