Love the computer voice, the Sheee-ma-no, but I disagree on the order, the Thunnus in a class of it's own. One proof, my friend droped his overboard, down 100 feet. He fished it back with a jig stick, used it all day, then took it home and took it apart. Guess what? ALL he needed to do was put it back together, not one drop of water inside and today, years and years later, still catching big Yellowtail with it. Consider that.
The Shimano baitrunner reels are all top quality…the Kastking and Okuma, in comparison, shouldn’t be on the same list as Shimano. However, this is just one of those sales, robot-voice videos that make money if you buy through one of their links…so they’re going to give you a sizable list.
@@brandonmasterscatfishing845 and I know one that went overboard, down 100 feet, fished back up with a jig stick and fished the rest of the day. Took apart at night, guess what? Not one drop of water inside it--put it back together and this was years ago, don't know how anyone can beat that. On the other hand, if it can't be beat, can it be tied? I think about the Okuma--which I have had big time luck with, and at a 3rd of the price, I am thinking of trying one.
See none of these seem like they are high quality though. I want something made from machined aluminium. I often fish on sandbars in the gulf and let me tell you what boy, those reels get submerged at times while you're battling a big bull shark or a massive ray. These all seem like they aren't going to be able to take a beating.

Okuma the best
Which is the one best reel from the 5 you've recommended?
I’ve owned all of the shimano bait runners and the Thunnus are by far superior. Light weight work horses and has never failed me yet.

Bow my Penn Squal, that's a reel that will take a hammering.
Any of the Shimanos are top quality. They are heavier reels than the kastking or Okuma (junk)reels.
