why have you never learnt to do 3D models and Art yourself? It isn't that hard and you are very competent and hard working, so you would get it after a couple of months. At least in my experience as a Game Dev custom models make all the difference both in uniqueness and in controllability

The new CEO being AGAIN from EA is honestly a kick in the balls.
It's hard to see bright future for unity regardless of CEO... They went really downhill after being public it's now mostly investors toy /marketing company and they clearly have no clear vision to make good profit and their stock shows that too, and don't get me even started about state and dev rate of the engine itself, it's disaster

Also I'm banned all the forums because Unity Employees... hate my religion even though I didn't talk about my religion... Just hates and bans.

If it were broadcasted on TV back in the 90's or 2000's I would have watched it while drinking my 'morning news cup of coffee', preparing myself for the rest of the day (for going to work, etc).

Yes, but a pretty big disappointment if you are still working with Unity and don't consider changing to Godot :(
@@marcmustermann1676 Why would that be a disappointment? It's not like Unity devs have animosity towards other engines or their users.
As myself atill usues unity and for now Dont think of using godot but happy that the king could restart his teachings to a new generations of dev.

Im not sure helldivers 2 has recovered. They banned purchases in all the countries psn isnt available in and havent rolled that back in fact added more. I think there will be a bitterness left

The intro music is WAY louder than your voice (the video's loudness seems quite low, overall), which leads to some serious sound explosion. Otherwise, great video!
My concerns about the new CEO and the runtime fee are really the same. The company took the obscenely anti-consumer tactic of running at a loss until they have control of the market, then using that control to put the screws to the consumer to get more than they're entitled to to make up for those losses. They discovered they couldn't get away with it yet, so they put caps on the runtime fee solely as a way to buy time until they can get away with removing them. And this new CEO doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would say "Hey, that didn't work. Let's just be a normal company and make a sensible amount of money in a sensible way." I would bet he's just going to steer the company back onto the evil path of stealing market share so they can screw us over eventually.

Arrowhead is a good example about making the same game. Arrowhead made a lot of 4 players friendly fire horde shooter until HD2 became success.

So, is that means that your tutorials are now will be out dated, if Unity 6 released? Like, yeah there still be alot of same functions, but maybe some of them would be old and not good for use?
I wanted to buy your Ultimate Unity Overview (70+ Tools and Features Explained!). I hope they will be useful for Unity 6 too. Can you advice on that, please?
Not really, or rather it depends heavily on the tutorial. Many tutorials aren't dependent on any specific Unity version. You can still follow my very first tutorial video on this channel that was made 6 years ago with today's version. It was a Health System which isn't related to any specific Unity version
The interface changes between versions and specific things like DOTS or early Render Pipelines do change a lot, but most things don't really change much

As a VR dev, I was close to buying Apple Vision Pro and develop in Unity, but an aditional 2K subscription was a door stopper for me. Hopefully Unity will make it more accessible, because Unreal is one or two versions away from supporting it. Btw love these videos!
you can use/Buy a meta quest 3 its also support Unity
Putting things together so they can load faster was already done in the late 1980's with floppy disks 🙂
Do you think you will make a tutorial for making games aiming low end computers ? Like trying to create some games that will run on computers with Intel UHD or even no graphics card at all ?
It would be very interesting i think.
Optimization is a very tricky topic to cover in a tutorial because every single game is going to be unique, there's aren't many one-size-fits-all solutions for that problem. My best advice is just learn to use the Profiler to help you identify what is running slow/fast

Weekly Game Dev news? First time seeing this....AWESOME!! Thank you! New Unity CEO = optimistically hopeful. Brackey's back = interesting. Unity 6 = Looking forward to your DOTS course! Apple cancelled their car that cost billions to develop. Killing the Vision Pro won't be a hard decision for them.
Interesting point with the car. Although I think there's still a difference between cancelling an unannounced project vs something that is already out.

Aren't both the same?
Sort of, some people use XR to mean AR or VR (so the X means either A or V) and not necessarily mixed.
Hi , I have a question. Is there a way in unity to make car Ai system and if yes please 🥺 make a video my project is stuck with no support i am currently using the old nav agent which is not suitable for cars 😅
I use unity navmesh for tanks and cars. Out of all of disastrous unitys systems this one is one of the most usable actually.
Use navmesh agent to get paths then u can use those paths to make car follow it. Easy to make working prototype, but to make it work well it's decent amount of work
@@Angry-Lynx this is what I am doing currently but my game focuses on arcade style gameplay and the problem with this system is that the car always keeps moving until it reaches its path where as a car has different states

Make a video on how to create transparent editor window (not runtime)
I don't think you can make the editor transparent. But if you want something that is not runtime then you probably don't even want Unity, you can make a Visual C# window transparent
@@CodeMonkeyUnity i mean i want to create a tool which requires its background to be transparent otherwise its purpose is lost. I tried modifying the parent of root panel but there is always a black background. I saw a video with semitransparent editor window but its older and did not shared source code so that didn't help. So thought if you can discover it. Thanks
