This video features the famously bus scene when Crowley and Aziraphale took the public bus home to London from Tadfield. Good Omens fans know about the special meaning in this scene. Preceding this moment is one of the finest and emotional conversations of season one between the angel and the demon about their separation from Heaven and Hell. You see Crowley's touching minutes in the burning bookshop when he thought he lost Aziraphale. This is also the beginning of a new trust level among the ineffable husbands. I didn't know for ages that they'd done this. Thanks for the frame by frame. I like that when they're back in London, if you watch carefully and you know them, you know that they've switched. 'Crowley' walks out of his flat. Sees the Bentley parked. Smiles but doesn't get in it. Gets in a taxi instead. It's Aziraphale. 'Aziraphale' wanders around the bookshop, in amazement, because it's not burned, like he (Crowley) last saw it. The whole of GO is so rich. You can mine it endlessly.
You are so right! And you can see from the silver collar lining of “Crowleys“ jacket that it’s Aziraphale, when he gets in the taxi. Later, when they swob back at the park bench, the lining is red again.

AZ stayed at Crowley's place because the next morning you see "AZ as crowley" walk out of a modern apartment building, walking right past Crowley's car, and getting in a taxi.
I think so. And you can recognize Aziraphale from the grey collar liner instead of red.
@@BirgitPa also where else would he have stayed even if we believed it was Aziraphale arriving at the book shop, and not Crowley at that point, it makes most sense he stayed with Crowley. A bus from Surrey isn't going to take much more than an hour, and he arrives at the bookshop the next morning.

I’m partial to writing the odd fan fic and I liked to think Aziraphale took up Crowley’s offer. They go back to Crowley’s, get blind drunk on some more wine then fall asleep leaning against each other still holding hands…
The only difference is I wrote the body swap thing happened when they leave the flat the next day. Damn I love these two ineffable idiots.

Awesome Video, thank you. I was lucky somehow to notice them holding hands when I first watched the show, and definitely they did go back to Crowley's place. The song was perfect, and yes all these scenes are related, and I think there is a plan hatching in season 3, as we wait, these in depth videos help to analyze all that we have seen and maybe have not fully understood. As in the later 'Trust me" scene, there is more going on than meets the eye.

I don’t think they switched on the bus. Others could have noticed. It certainly would have freaked me out if I witnessed such a thing. They didn’t discuss what to do before they got on the bus. I think they did it after they got to Crowley’s place. Since Neil has confirmed they like holding hands I’d like to think Aziraphale just took his hand as a sign of affection.

@@lulu480Or no one noticed. The driver drops off the other passengers at Oxford Town center, then goes to London. The driver has no reason to pay attention to who is in which seat.

okay so i love this breakdown, but i still can’t see it that they definitely hold hands - it looks almost like that, but not quite. do you have the source of where/when david and neil confirmed this? i have looked into it before but found nothing but hearsay. :( maybe there’s a tumblr post or an interview where they both confirm it?

I cutted the scene a bit down. The box was collected by Lesley, the International Express Man.
I watched closely snd never saw them hold hands in any scene.
