- Video is showing hot to install loading ramps on a stepdeck trailer very easily. You can easily make a pair of wheels which I'm using in the video, they will make the process a lot faster with less effort. There's no need anymore to drag your ramps against the asphalt,damaging them and making a lot of noise .

It all depends on the driver.
I have been driving 17,5 for 6 years.
The biggest advantage is that you can take taller loads that should go on RGN.
Disadvantages are:
1. You have to replace tires more often. In summer, you can't drive more than 65mph if you're 48k loaded.
Tires are very rare, and they cost $600 to install one.
You can get stuck at RR or at the companies.
But after all, it can make you more money, but you have to take good care of it.

With a truck so long and like that if you don't lift that jack in between the ramps you will hit the bottom

Is typically 6 inch lower then a regular one.
I usually can load an SUV with only one set of ramps.
Why do you let the air out of the suspension,
1. Lowers the trailer ( less clearance)
2. The trailer is more stable when you load equipment, especially heavy-duty.
3. Prolongs airbags life.
