there is a metal disc inside the switch, they crack when old, you can take the switch apart and glue the disc back together in emergencies, i cleaned mine and glued it, works fine for now, but don't except it to hold for a long time. great for a temporary fix
Hi, thanks for your comment...the lock itself will possibly look no different in appearance, but could still have developed a fault. Hope the replacement solves your error code!
@@eSpares Thank you again. I have replaced the lock and it works fine. The really hard part was replacing the seal to get it sit onto the machine properly. Then replacing the wire and spring needed two flat end screwdrivers for me. All good

Mine worked without changing the switch rather just by trying to pull it out.
