I haven’t done this route in years and as beautiful of a trip this one is i avoid it now due to the high volumes of canoers and dirty camp sites that mice and bears frequent. It wouldn’t be so bad if people cleaned up what they brought in.
When I went it was the third week of September and it was nice with not many people. In June it was definitely busy and lots of campers were loud. If I went again, it would be end of September or early October for sure.

So sorry for the late reply! Agree most people do their part. Education and awareness will help, and for some it won’t!
I agree with you. I try to clean the sites I stay on, as much as possible.
