It isn't. Most of it has been turned into farm land. Additionally, they have higher rates of certain cancers possibly because of the excess use of pesticides and or fertilizers.
The Anne of Green Gables books were honestly the most beautiful and striking depiction of Canada in the early 1900s ever. If I ever visit PEI it will only be to capture a tiny bit of the life that Anne describes in the books. 😊
Ever since I was a little child and I watched "Road to Avonlea" I wanted to visit Prince Edward Island, for me it's one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Thank you so much for these videos. They calm me down and make me feel at peace. I've been watching all sorts of your east coast videos all day today and yesterday because I'm waiting on a job offer from the navy out in Nova Scotia! :)
Thanks Katelyn! That is really exciting to hear. All the best with that and if you do get a chance to live in Nova Scotia you'll have to let us know how it goes. We've always had the impression it would be one of the better provinces to live.
What a beautiful place! The video is perfect, every take, every joke, that adorable family, the edition...Excellent! I love Sam's laugh, by the way. I can't help but laugh, too. xD
Thanks for the reminders of what Canada must be like. I've never been there - but years ago I flew back from Boston (USA) to London and for many miles the plane flew along the Canadian coast, and I thought "Blimey! Look at that! A tiny dirt road that ends at the coast....another road that ends at the coast....few signs of human habitation....mile upon mile of forest (probably with bears, wolves, moose and Gawd knows what else)...long may it continue! Long live Canada!
I was told about this video by someone who recognized the Airbnb and then noticed the random dog that came to visit. I have to take ownership for her. She is mine and her name is Rylee, my parents live right next door and Rylee occasionally spends weekends out there when I am busy. She has greeted many of the people who have stayed in the Airbnb.
I typically visit PEI twice a year and whenever I go, I always seek out the scallops and oysters. The Culinary Institute is a place that we would visit once a year. The meal I had there was always the finest meal I ate each year. It is fine dining at its best. You go their to experience "flavour" concocted by very talented chefs. One year, I ordered chowder and it was the nicest chowder I've ever had. I don't think I will ever have that experience again but am glad I had the experience once in my life. The Culinary Institute is a place I would definitely seek out. They also serve lunch.
Gracias mil!!! 🇦🇷👏👏👏
Awesome video! Such a beautiful island. I'm going to put PEI on my must visit bucket list. You guys eat like kings. :-) All that delicious seafood had me drooling. lol. I copied the salmon and scallop recipe that Daniel was making. :-) Can't wait to see your next road trip.
The mosquitoes and black flies were the worst this year ..I think it was because we had such a wet spring. Beautiful white sand beaches on the north shore of PEI...I rent a cottage there every year.
Wow, i bet the dinner made by Sam's uncle and such an accomplished professional chef was really yummy! A good way to cook the bacon wrapped scallops is to partially cook the bacon first; wrap them around the scallops and cook both till the bacon is cooked the rest of the way and the scallops are done. This way you don't overcook the scallops. I always used to chew the oysters a little. Horseradish sauce added is nice too.
Interesting place. I got beautiful tourist brochures about New Brunswick and Nova Scotia years ago, but have not explored yet. Nature seems very similar to Northern Europe.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos When were you there? By the look of the lupin and the freshly planted farmers' fields I'd say mid to end of June? We have a house (built 2007) on the southern shore and spend a fair bit of time on the Island. We were there on holiday in 2005 and just fell in love with the place. Summers would just not be summer without PEI. Weather really turned HOT in July and stayed that way until last week. Thanks for the video, you did a great job capturing a little of the Island's glory!
There’s a beautiful trail in greenwich that’s a bit further down from the beach, i’m not sure if dogs are allowed but it’s a floating boardwalk so you go over the water and through the dunes! So pretty.
Maple syrup is popular in other countries but it is hard to find it without the heavy glass bottles which add to the weight for foreign visitors who want to take some home. By the way I had maple sausages the other morning. If you are overnight on a farm wait til you have to go get the cows home, and I had a hard time to get them moving in the right direction. Thanks for another great video.
Next time, I would try a NOT-red with your maple salmon scallops. A German auslese or spätlese would hold up to the sweetness. Perhaps a Pinot Noir. Or a full white, like a warm-climate chard. Way better I would guess.
Beautiful place.^^. One day maybe I'll visit this paradise... I live in Manaus, Amazonas / Brazil .. For now we cannot leave here because of the Pandemic. But who knows, one day I might even live in PEI.^^. Now, the coronavirus is swallowing many lives here :_(
Oysters at 23:35. If raw oysters are not your thing, you can cook them in a frying pan. I cut the bile duct off. I then fry the oysters on low heat in garlic, butter, and oregano. They're delicious. You should also try the oysters from British Columbia's Georgia Strait. They're bigger than PEI oysters.
@@samuelandaudrey i really wish you lovely folks(and furfolk) had visited our beautiful WESTERN end of the island when you were here. There is still so much to be discovered by you! Maybe next trip!😉

I’m a Canadian living in BC but have never visited PEI but planning it for next summer (once covid restrictions are less strict)! did you guys stay in the same airbnb on all four days? it seems like everything in PEI is like an hour-ish away from each at most which areas specifically did you guys stay in?

Thanks! It is an amazing place. You have small towns, farms, nature and also bigger cities. You can escape it all and have walks along the beach by yourself or head into town and feel a sense of community. Would also highly recommend Cape Breton out east as well and rural New Brunswick along the Fundy National Park.
I loved these videos of the families together and enjoying life and our environment!
Thank you very much! We'll have more family trips coming up in the near future.
Both Dad's are so cool and funny to watch!! A beautiful family! 😊
Thank you very much Sarah! So nice to have everyone together.
Yeahh cool dad´s but Togo is always the Star of the show :)
And also your Chef Uncle
We brought our kids there in 2019 , loved it so much that we just bought land so we could move there 😁 loved watching your family travels ❤
Wow, that is so cool to hear!
I love Anne of Green Gables. Those books were some of my favorites growing up. It's so cool you got to visit that house!
It was like being right in the book!
Again, I'm so impressed by the nature... Looks so amazing, green and untouched :)
So green! We really enjoyed driving down the back roads and soaking it all in.

I love how you all take care of that pup! So sweet 😊
Thank you very much Kammie! We love traveling with him.
I'm not often a fan of pancakes but those "George's Fruity Flapjacks" stirred my appetite!! the fact that they sound health adds to their temptation!
They reminded me of YOUR banana pancakes...but with the added blueberries that made them purple. 😉
What a beautiful place Sam and Audrey you did an excellent job video taping it and then editing it NUMBER 1
Thanks Effie! We're glad to hear you enjoyed our little tour of PEI.
Amazing video once again Sam and Audrey😍 Hopefully we get as good at vlogging as you two, really inspiring for us who just started out 😊

Well, pei does not have moose ,deer, bears or wolves. We do however have skunks raccoons and coyote.

Anne of Green Gables. I would love to go there just because of the movie 🎥

The lobster rolls at $14 CDN are cheap in PEI. Those same lobster rolls go from $22-35 USD in Maine.
I love Maple Salmon also. I make it at home quite often . I also shred some really fresh Ginger add add it to the mix. So good.
