In this video, we look at how the MSU offense, called by offensive coordinator Jay Johnson, led the Spartans to an electrifying comeback win over Mike Macdonald's defense and the Michigan Wolverines, largely on the back of star RB Kenneth Walker III. We'll look at Michigan State's Zone run game, and at how Michigan tried to stop it by loading up the line of scrimmage. We'll then see how a few fortuitous adjustments in the second half helped open things up for Walker in the run game. Finally, we'll look at Michigan State's passing attack, led by Payton Thorne, Jayden Reed, and Jalen Nailor, attacked Zone coverages like Cover-2 and Cover-3, and we'll see how the Slot Fade factored in to prevent Michigan from pressing their wide receivers.
