- Yamaha CS1x pt 4. Virtual Analog Sounds from the 90s. My first session with this bargain synth, is it underrated or not? Ending the 1st session with some comments and 1st impressions.

This vintage (?) digital synth by Yamaha from the 1996 was for sale in my neighborhood. I hesitated, it does look a little weird with its angled sides. And we all know that the 90s wasn't always that great in sound, when the big three started making synths sounding too digital and cold. After 5 minutes of pressing keys and pushing buttons I was positively surprised and decided to make a video. CS1x is the first CS named synth Yamaha made since the 70s, but don't be fooled by the name, it is not an analog CS, it is very much digital. But the initial feeling is that it is very digital in a nice, retro way. What do you think? Please comment and of course, like and subscribe :-)

Very nice AM synth . Lot of Wave samples from 80 analog heroes . Don't like it in blue !
@@crnogor AM or AWM? I think the colour feels pretty fresh compared to the rather dirty looking grey or silver coloured synths the big 3 were throwing out in the 90s.
@@patsonmusic Even worse , white ! What you say about Nord - black/red ? UH ! Black for me is ''law'', seams pro !
@@crnogor Red's great, nice and fresh. White is no-no, you move it a couple of times and it gets really dirty looking
@@patsonmusic Like Italians say '' Secondi gusti '' . White or creme is horrible for keyboards - CS 2x / CS 6x were total white , brrr ! Red or red &black combo , just like to see on Women !
