Arctic, THANK YOU so much for fixing* Waterfall! I really loved the original except for that 2nd drop. You've managed to make it so that the 2nd drop still mixes things up but without getting obnoxious. *My opinion.
I love your mixes, some of the best out there easily. I have noticed that you have an edit to remove a heavy drop in almost every single one of them. I totally understand why, I remember some of the responses to when you put Shadows on the channel. It would be really fantastic if you made a second channel to include some of your other music tastes that don't fit the tone of the main channel. I love all forms of dubstep and would love if you did a mix or two that were on the heavier sides of melodic dubstep. Thinking things like (unedited) Shadows, Feel It All, Another Me, In My Mind, etc. You can do no wrong in my eyes, so even if you never did it, I wouldn't be upset. But I think there are definitely more people out there that you could bring into the Empire if you had other channels that explored the other areas of EDM. I am just selfishly requested dubstep =) Love the channel, can't wait to hear what is next
I'll deffo take it into consideration. I do want to branch out a bit and showcase some different stuff. However I simply don't have the time to manage a second channel currently :/
The line between future bass and melodic dubstep is pretty gray. Some would call it future bass, some would call it melodic dubstep. Depends who you ask. I think it fits in the mix and that is really what matters.
Tbh in the last decade vocals have changed and sound awful (like chainsomkers style). Idk I liked 2012-2014 the best. It may be me but I feel they give up on a good buildup in these songs. For example go compare to Seven Lions: the great divide
