We should all stop this argument. 95% of people don't fucking care if someone looks at them at the gym. They would enjoy the attention and take it as a compliment. Regardless of gender.

When I first started working out at the gym, I felt very awkward. I noticed others looking in my direction and it made me feel very self-conscious about my body. But I kept going and day after day I kept noticing others being very awkward around me. So I decided to break the ice and talk to each of them. I opened up and was very friendly with them. After talking to everyone, I found that nearly every one of them felt very awkward and self-conscious about their looks. They kept looking at me to see if I was looking at them. And so the circle of awkwardness passed from person to person until I finally ended it with a friendly conversation.
Most W person, I would honestly like to have a convo with a person or even you, breaking the ice and having a friendly convo with someone that relates with you is a nice way to bring people into the gym.
Excellent self awareness & social psychology experiment! A lot of it is psychological. Most people are self conscious about their looks because they don't get validation from other people so they fear & wonder if they're "good enough" to even be there. A lot of people feel a sense of belonging, fitting in & receiving approval & acceptance from others. Yes, it's true, there are people amongst us who could care less about "fitting in" but the majority of us NEED approved, acceptance & validation through a connection. Some people connect based on how they look or their level of fitness. Others connect based on behavior & mannerisms. Sometimes it's a mood, a vibe or an attitude. In the gym, you subconsciously feel you are held by a specific standard & to meet those standards. You feel like everyone is staring at you, judging you, sizing you up & criticizing you. In a sense, most likely they probably are but they feel the same way & it's probably worse inside their heads about themselves. The gym is a very vulnerable place to be for a lot of people but then there are others at the gym who are comfortable & confident. The way you approach spending your time at the gym determines how others will perceive you. Virtually everyone is conscious & observant of the person beside them or near them in the gym & we create our own judgements about them based on human nature. We worry what others think of us but if we remain focused & determined, it is possible to change their minds, first impressions & preconceived notions about you. You can reinvent yourself and/or surprise other people in the Gym, assuming you have their attention. Otherwise, they either may or may not ignore you, your goals & your workout.

What i found out lately, is the more i focus on myself in the gym the more people are watching. Like it is strange that a person is doing something for himself without the need of validation.

When I workout in the gym, I just focus on my workout n nothing else, just music on in my headphones and ready to gain pump n burn calories. One or a while I've seen people starring at you, not because I have a better physique than them but for the way I workout.

There is nothing wrong if you find someone attractive weather it be a guy or girl, and we both need to understand its natural until and unless its getting creepy and over the head, but we should also understand that if somebody is finding you attractive and got eyes on you he or she is probably not creepy, as I told if its getting out of the way more in a creepy way.
