To give context on some of the AI's oddities. I believe as a joke, the chat insisted on having the AI do a few things like randomly insert POG or screeches into the sentences. The voice AI then reads it off, which is why you also get it pronouncing things like asterisk, which are being used to denote something in the text like a sound effect, but which the AI reads straight. AI voices also can't interpret noises well, hence the hell screems. The reason the AI tends to also go off the rails, is it will randomly add in it's own additions to the story, or try to copy from what came last, which results in it developing it's own mistakes about the story or repeating loops of ideas. In general, the longer a chat AI generates, the more incoherent it will get due to it losing track of what elements were the original prompt, reading it's own mistakes, and getting stuck in loops, unless you constantly correct it to get back on track.
That's still not possible because you have to go through everything, find them, click them, etc. They had to have hacked to get to the end of something because that's not even possible. Maybe you could speed run in 30 minutes to an hour if you were doing it legitimately
@@fuzzyotterpaws4395it definitely is possible, as a kid I tried to complete a lot of Humongous Entertainment's games, most of them can be completed in under 5 minutes even as a kid
@@fuzzyotterpaws4395 That's not correct. They don't have to 'find' anything, because its a speedrun. They've memorized location already. Just look at any youtube video about the any% speedrun - the game is a point and click adventure. Removing the cutscenes easily lets you get to sub minute times. Do you really think nobody would have noticed if there was any hacking involved, when literally every record is sub minute to a minute long?
The OBS websocket doesn't connect the AI to the internet, it just connects to the instance of OBS running on Doug's computer, so the Sam overlay moves in sync with AI Sam talking. Also, ChatGPT doesn't connect to the internet (at least the version Doug uses doesn't), it can only draw upon knowledge in its training set (which includes the entirety of Wikipedia) and in the prompts that it is given. Every time Doug lobotomizes a Sam, he has to recap everything that happened to the next one. Additionally, ChatGPT doesn't control the voice, it just generates a script that another AI then converts into audio. The voice changing is because of the instability of the AI and the incoherency of the script.
Maybe high demon elgrim is the responsible of corrupting the sams minds? Also the first yext of sam 4 has to be 2 favorite moment in the entire video, BABAGABOOSH
The reason Doug's program is connecting to the internet is because Doug is likely using the ChatGPT API. Basicly the program is sending it's authentication information to ChatGPT. This is comparable to sending login information. Each time Doug sends a prompt using his program ChatGPT will receive it(likely in the form of text) and respond to it in text form as if you were logged into the ChatGPT website. The information of ChatGPT is said to come from its database. Meaning it likely saved previous answers from its userbase and is potentially using previous scrapped data from the internet. The voices and therefore the volume of it is proberally not related to ChatGPT. I'm guessing Doug made it so that text from ChatGPT is translated into audio instead of ChatGPT doing so automatically itself.
I know it's 3 weeks old but as a general knowledge about AI - it doesn't just take information from it's training set and uses it to respond. That would be an interactive encyclopedia or a search engine, which we had long before. AI uses it's training data only at a training stage to basically learn how patters of words, sentences and contexts work in order to predict what is "correct" to say next given the context. It doesn't refer to any data neither on the internet nor from it's training data set. That's the main idea behind advanced AI's of today. And then on top of that core they can have something like checking online for actual knowledge and context on the subject, like GPT-4 has. If you dig enough into AI development and neuroscience you'll see that their pattern recognition is very similar of the one we have because that's what it was designed after. Except of course when designing a thing to do a specific task we didn't need to (and couldn't really) include a lot of the other complexities of human brain.
In fact that was visible and understandable much more with earlier less advanced AIs that were before ChatGPT. They would have you input some text, and then they'd continue your text. In that kind of model you can more clearly see what AI is actually doing.
The Matrix! In one of the animated shorts from the Animatrix we learn humanity started the war with the robots, and went on to darken the sky since robots were solar powered at the time. The robots eventually retaliated with making humanity batteries.

It's called mashing the Escape key because this game is 98% skippable cutscenes.
