Ask these women, if they're so independent and these younger generations believe in equality. How many guys have they asked out on dates and paid for the date? I doubt if any have the courage to deal with constant rejection that guys have to endure, when they show interest in a woman and they're not good enough in this demanding world.

Ask what is their opinion about long distance (international) dating and if for Love they would ever consider changing country and establishing far away from Norway, or if they would never consider moving away (so basically the guy should do it). Women say that men has to be emotionally available but when men decides to open up, it's often seen as too clingy and needy and the woman decides to leave the man which leads to men closing their feelings even more.
Advice for women: Sort out what you really want in a relationship and don't just name a bunch of stuff without real thought behind it.
Advice for men: Try and talk about your feelings in a more open way with friends and family so it's not a barrier/hurdle when you are in a relationship.

(A brazilian guy watching this) Astrid and Mia were sooo interesting! And so different from all the other girls. Both of them were talking about things that really matter to make a relationship work, like being communicative, being open to the other person's ideas. Almost all the other girls in the video were just talking about an image of the ideal man, that would make them get closer to an idealization of what they think they should be (that's a recipe for disaster, in my opinion). We do read a lot.
Women read everything from Fifty Shades to fantasy.
      Men probably do the same.
This is where you find the source of the modern male/female issue.
Some men and some women enjoy and embrace the modern reality of one life on earth without religion.
SO we have to make the most of it and maximize every second of it. These people are on another existential plane.
Exceptionally self-focused. Strong performers and focus everything on being the best version of themselves at everything they do.
This is becoming a trend among the generation which just grew up.
They simply embrace the reality they live in.
Meanwhile the rest of us are slow goers. Who can find peace and tranquility in a good movie, a game, a fantasy book etc.
We enjoy sometimes eating junkfood, we simply do not want to stress with life. Taking the slow route in life.
Which means we are not the ones who spend days on end in the gym. Nor do we spend every second of our day maximizing gains at whatever we do.
It is a huge issue, because these two groups will never get along. Because one will naturally (and rightfully so) feel superior.
The younger generation of both men and women do this. I have seen kids who should be in grade school, in the gym talking about diets!
There is a lot of women embracing this maximized lifestyle, as women simply are better at catching trends early.
Men simply aren't that interested in influencers like the ones who promote these values.
However this leaves behind a small group of influential, fit and exceptionally aware guys. Maybe 5% of the male population, which really fit the dream guy tag for women. Say there are 25% of women who enjoy this maximization of life style. Then that means there are 5 hot women per 1 hot guy.
Naturally men in general will lose out. It is our own fault for not doing everything we can every hour of the day to become perfect.
This obsession with perfection has to start early to succeed. One of the reasons why so many women have eating dissorders, and it doesn't help that models are the ideal for them.

Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you through the Holy Spirit, not religion and blind faith. You see, we all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God in flesh, a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross and resurrecting, so that we may have everlasting life. It is all finished and now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and Bible says that His Blood will cover all of your sins, you will be forgiven, saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again, know Jesus personally and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read the Bible, pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless you!

Bottom line is women want men who can basically outsmart them, outearn them and low key overpower them physically if necessary ( fitness plays that role here and genes of course that is why height is important ) to feel safe and have respect for the guy. If not then sooner or later it is not going to work out. So when ladies are talking 50 50 they lowkey want dominance from the other side and basically have reasons to struggle to get there in my honest opinion and although our 'progressed' society implies the 50 50 rule women still seek out the other 70 30 guy.

Feminism is a recipe for an unhappy future for women, since it teaches them to suppress their own nature. Also because demanding rights without the equivalent duties and sacrifices that come along is unrealistic and unfeasible. So when they have to pay the price of the duties and sacrifices of the so-called rights they've demanded they are frustrated.

As a generalization, this 69-year-old Londoner agrees with the phrase "Women like to chat, gossip and talk" while Men "Exchange Information" as in a typical Male-To-Male phone conversation: First Male "Hello, Mate, all right? " Second Male: Yes, Thanks, mate, and you ?" First Male: All Good, what time are we meeting at the Pub tomorrow night?"
Second Male: "About 9.00pm" First Male"Great. See you then!" Second Male "Bue! " THE END

i agree with your take. I am still amazed at my wife's conversation style with her friends. They don't seem to exchange any actual information. i could never participate in their conversations. This creates a problem when several couples socialize. If no split between men and women occurs, the conversation becomes dominated by the women, who talk about their stuff, in their style, and the guys say very little, because it's not their kind of chat. Sometimes it's the guys' conversation that takes off and the women soon leave to have their own conversation. I don't think there is any point in fighting this. Mostly, conversation makes most sense within same sex groups, not mixed sex groups.

I do view this as failed biology in some way. Some men don't develop any skills. They just are used to being seen as too useful when even the modern man has become lazy and not useful otherwise. No wonder that modern women state they wish they had/desire a man who just actually desires them, tries to please them a bit, and talks to them a bit more, rather than one who 'thinks he is playing a role' and 'thinks he is being smart' when he is technically failing, it makes sense. If everyone has more choices and competition, it makes sense you should do more than simply shave your head and act like an uncaring low iq imo.
Such men only seem to have a few stereotypes but there is no purpose in a modern sense to it, most of them are not soldiers or utilizing it. I like to use the example, how many men can do 30 pullups? Well I was so late to fitness, and it seems like most of them only do average like 4 to 8, even if they look like they have those manly curves, a lot of them fail. Why? It's modern and they had no stress, full nutrition and food, and other factors. I only started fitness way late and like 1-2 years ago, and I now do 30.
It may also be true that some women are brainless and that sometimes verbosity is important, and maybe they failed to realize why that is so important. It sort of goes both ways because the modern society is so nihilistic. But sometimes communicating of important details is important, and sometimes it is better to avoid it. This is ironically a skill that many people overlook or they can get away with it.
Women are supposed to like sex and like relationships. Instead I think most of them are being scammed and the men they are with are uncaring and not good enough, so they leave feeling used, not liking men as much, seeking something else, perhaps even brainwashed eventually, beacuse the men were such failures. Even myself, who had above average IQ, tend to avoid too many male friends. But imo it's because the man is so uncaring and thinks the wrong things, they just really failed at a lot of things (by their Dunning-Kruger effect); there are actually men who make a proper relationship.
While the smart ones do realize that they are not so special, imo it is 'coping' in a sense, because there are men, usually not ones who had the easiest time by instantly becoming tall or other things early in life, who do develop those skills; usually beacuse we felt we are not good enough. It is just more rare. That is why we develop better skills. That is also why educated women actually have a point. Many men like yourself likely just sit back and did nothing, then feel entitled to it, and maybe in a country like that the women just accept their gender role as being more useless and submissive. Meanwhile you fell behind a lot of men who are simply better quality because we worked for it and exceeded the lazy ones by literally 100% or more. They think they are also better because of the fact they biologically can cheat to get women that end up not satisfied by them and then you end up with the women who are alone or who don't like sex, prefer not to date, and so on, because of such men who sortof ruined it for them..

The responses were very good and I think I would have some more follow-up questions. I think that the girl who said she would enjoy a "goofy" guy (Mia) would get along with me, because she also said looks were not real important.

Perhaps a Scandinavian thing, you and all the women in the video seemed to me to be very self reflective and introspective about things. Interestingly, the young women too! No fumbling, elaborated each key word they spoke in detail.
On the other hand, you enabled that kind of conversation and carefully listened to things. Followed up with great questions. Seeing you all, no wonder Norway is consistently a top nation every year in all key metrics such as happiness, democracy, human rights, development etc.

Interesting comment because I noticed this in a program with two identical twin who got adopted; one in Norway and one in the US. Both girls were quite similar. Not surprising given that they were identical, but I do remember the girl adopted to Norway was a lot more introspective than the American girl. But I think the American girl was more outgoing.
You could see a bit why though when you followed their upbringing. American girl got driven to a lot of organized activities. A lot of action with other people all the time. The Norwegian girl roamed around a lot more on her own. She would go into an abandoned house and explore it, or just bike around the hillside or whatever. She did much less organized activity and spent more time by herself reflecting on things.
I do remember that from growing up myself in Norway and my experience in the US. It is much more action and activity focused in the US. In Norway I think being bored is almost seen as something positive. You like kids to figure out what they want to do themselves. Take their own initiative. And I noticed we probably have more autonomy as children in Norway. We can go a lot more around on our own without supervision.

My first wife was Norwegian, I'm an American of Latin heritage. We were fun together until it wasn't. Traveling and partying was fun, but we had different expectations of our marriage. Norwegian are different in positive ways. I read perceptions and comments from Americans. TBH dating Norwegian, Scandinavian and northern European women is dramatically different than American women, generally speaking of course. There's definitely better communication if you, the American man, are a articulate & not weak or needy. Norway is quite egalitarian in this sense. A strong woman is something I find attractive. Don't be intimated. That's on you, not her. Know that's she's attractive & loves being desired. I was a hustler in my 20s as we traveled. I worked as a bouncer, night club doorman, club promotions, waiter, open market jewelry vender, English teacher, in Spain. And when we lived in Norway I made fiberglass speedboats by day and taught business English at the Folketsuniversitet in Oslo. So, being fun, confident, outgoing, ambitious and "fun" is something that Scandinavian women find attractive, but that's most women. Point is, there's no hack to relationships. Be the most evolved verse of yourself that you can be. My my wife, current & final ;) haha, is definitely an Alpha American woman. Definitely more attractive & earned more than me, about double my salary. She intimates most men, not me. We're both independently wealthy. She doesn't need me in her life and I'm not looking to rescue her. We chose each other and we love and respect one another. I drive her crazy. I joke and say, "I know my wife loves me, but I'm quite certain she doesn't like me much" LOL! But she understands my need to go do martial arts everyday. I understand her need to have everything in order and immaculate. I'm the cuddler, chatty katty at the end of the day and she's the quiet stoic one that just wants peace and quiet. We're definitely yin to each other's yang. Regardless of nationality, culture, ethnicity, religion we need to stop seeking Mr or Ms Right. We need to go out and find someone just as F-ed up as you are who's willing to put up when your s#!+ & who's s#!+ you can accept if and when they never change. Best of luck finding love from a recovered globetrotting, perpetual Peter Pan bachelor.

Dutch is a far cousin of Norwegian. Even some words seem the same when pronounced, but still, Norwegian is very different. I had a friend in Norway when I was a child, and remember the word straks, which in Norwegian means something like 'strak aansluitend' or inmediate'. In Dutch means soon but not immediate. But if one would look technically at the Dutch language, strak aansluitend (immediate) would be a more logical meaning for the word just from a literal language point. Also, we have some Russian, slavic, Scandinavian words, french and German words in our language if one would look carefully. Advocat (advocaat) in Dutch and Russian is exactly the same meaning, meaning a lawyer, and I can continue for some time.
