A badly calibrated machine, as it requires two pressure points to consider your feet present and requires both pressure points released to count as a jump, so I can deduce here the machine is overly sensitive and probably thinks the front and back of his foot are different feet. Unless it was modified for 1 foot use because of disabled patrons requesting it (possible but unlikely)
