- I had a great day riding some tight single track! Sometimes it was hard to see where the trail went, but I figured it out! If you follow me on Instagram (@Wild.Bill.Rides) then you already know that I broke my foot the weekend after this ride. That'll be in the next video. In the mean time, I may change it up a bit and make a video with some of my old footage that I've never used, I have a TON of video just sitting around. I guess you'll have to subscribe to see the next one ;D
Till next time!

Single track!? Some of those are straight up deer trails. Nice riding on that beast.
I found adding hand, wrist, and forearm exercises at the gym solved my arm pump.
Thanks! A lot of my friends actually cut down their handle bars to be able to fit between trees. I'm obviously not a big fan of the tight trails, especially on the WR450!
You should look into a rekcluse clutch that may help out with the arm pump. My 07 wr450f I just purchased has one and I’m really liking it. You can cruise around in 2nd or 3rd in those woods and never stall
Cool video....Thanks for posting!
Switch out 3 of your clutch springs with three from the same year wr 250f. It will help quite a bit with the arm pump. I did this on my bike and love it and there is no noticeable clutch slipping, it also costs less than 10 bucks.
Thanks! I'll try that out, that's one I haven't heard before.
Nice single track. The trees freak me out after riding desert so long. What map are you running? I hit the sub button. Cool stuff.
Trust me, the trees freak me out too! Haha I haven't changed the map, it's still stock. Thanks for subbing!
Those guys you ride with are fast! If you're tall you should look into handlebar risers. Im 6'2" and it made standing up much more comfortable on lower back, shoulders, and arm pump. I have 1"3/4 risers.
Yea they are, everyone I ride with is an A class rider, I can never keep up. I am tall also, I'm 6'4", and bar risers were one of the first accessories I got! You're right, they made a big difference! I need to figure out how to tighten my steering a bit, the handlebars yank me all over the place and I feel like I'm putting in a lot of extra work. I also need to tune the suspension for my weight, us tall guys tend to be a bit heavier. I stay around 215lbs and I don't think the front suspension likes all that weight.
@@WILDBILL riding with faster people will make you faster. Me and my buddy are just 2 squids in the woods lol. You can tighten the nut on the steering stem, that will help some. Put the bike on a stand so the front moves freely, you'll see and feel the difference. Getting springs for your weight will make a big difference. Most bikes are set up for 160-180 lb riders. Thats in full gear btw.
@@josephlejeune1967 You're right, and with gear I'm probably 235 or so
You can also try lowering the air pressure in the front tire. That will help with some of the deflection in the steering.
@@josephlejeune1967 Ok, thanks! It does that really bad in corners and I'm so sick of it 🤣
That was an A-Hole move at 1:56 I'd have put my hands on that guy if it was me.
Wish i had trails like that! I would buy a new ride. Everything here is 4x4 mud trails. No friends that ride anymore
I find it more difficult on them tight trails with such a big bike
I agree! To much power and weight, I'm worn out after a few miles 🤣
Still enjoying the bike? Any issues? I'm thinking about getting one and dual sporting it. I assume the WR does not have a keyed ignition?
No issues mechanically yet. I love the bike so far, if you're dual sporting it, it'll be fantastic. No keyed ignition, but those are pretty cheap and easy to install.
That’s why I hate the 450 why I got the 250 less stress 450 to much for tight woods to much power get tired as hell
Exactly. Love it as a dual sport but the single track is a pain in the ass. First gear is wayy too snatchy and second is too high.
you can tune the ecu on these for smoother power. if you get the gytr and power tuner it’s plug and play easy to do. there’s a specific map for woods/enduro riding like this that is less snatchy
nice bro what year is your bike?
It's a 2017 WR450F
WILD BILL nice i just got a 2016
How long have you had the bike?
About a year I think.
@@WILDBILL nice I got a yz450f and love it
@@Mikebasshead Nice! Do you ride woods with it?
@@WILDBILL oh yeah that's pretty much all I ride is woods.
@@MikebassheadAnd you like it better than a 250? I ride my buddies YZ250F and it's a much different experience. Way less exhausting than fighting all that 450 power 🤣
Where you riding at in NC?
No where in NC yet, this was on private land near Greensboro, GA
