I used to suffer from anxiety, intrusive thoughts and depression and when I gave my life to Christ it all went away ❤

God has showed me that i am far too worldly and not looking at “ the big picture “ so to speak. I havent been seeking his kingdom in all that I do, in fact i dont even seek my own wellbeing or those of others. Jesus, thank you for healing a wretched sinner like me and allowing me to become a bondservant in christ
I’m 71, so I was raised back in the day when simplistic was starting to becoming obsolete. We lived way back in the county miles from sidewalks. We played with stick, made up our own games. Our older brothers would drag in old parts from a tractor repair shop scrap pile out back along with lumber from scrap shipping crates. They made us a train engine go cart. It even had smoke coming from the stack. They would also gather up old salvage bicycle parts and rebuild them into a woking bicycle. Pop also took green cane, carved whistles and pop guns to play with. There’s lots more they did for all us kids in the neighborhood that enjoyed playing with. I loved the outdoors my who life.😮
This is exactly the message I needed to hear. Going through a really tough time and always anxious but no more.

As someone currently dealing with asthma, this line gave a good chuckle of acknowledgement!
Ive been saved for over 20 years and despite that... I drank as an alcoholic for 20+ years. I abused drugs for 20+ as well. Now I'm sober. And I have pain in my body that may never be healed. I have severe anxiety about it. But really, I should be thankful I'm still alive.
May God bless this man and his other half and their children. GodSpeed. Congrats on over 20 years of marriage. I'm at 21!

The first time I read this I was really messed up and seeking answers. It spoke to me that I needed god first and then he would take care of the rest... not just material things. I went to my knees and ask god to save me.

God has always been my second choice until I had no where to turn to. I realize that he is will ALWAYS be in the forefront. I have to pray and seek his wisdom before everything and i have no choice to trust in him. My anxiety is healed in his name according to his will. AMEN

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
Quoting that one verse along with verbally proclaiming of Jesus authority work together to banish all fear & anxieties... Every time!

Most people I've encountered, as well as my own experience, is not a problem of confusing anxiety always with sin, but acknowledging most of my anxiety is sin. We tend to excuse or justify our worldly worries. My ongoing problem is not trusting God fully at all times, and being anxious for the things of God. Thank you Voddie for the reminder and pointing to Christ and his sufficiency.
Father God please forgive me for not praying about my family's situation. Instead I complained n that's not right. I love my Lord and saviour and my Father in heaven. Please heal my body I have a bad spinal headache from spinal stenosis in Jesus' holy and mighty name I pray amen 🙏 ❤️🔥 thank you Lord for another day 🙏 ❤️🔥

I used to have the nickname of , Mr. Happy go lucky , my mother would marvel at how nothing seemed to bother me , she would say things would roll off my back like water off a ducks back , Now that I'm older I still have the same disposition (for the most part) , I've been married for 30 years , have 3 children and 4 grandkids , so I do have some anxiety , mostly about how my kids and grandkids will turn out . My wife , however gets Angry , even pissed off at me when I don't express my worry or anxiety whenever she is worried or anxious , that somehow I don't love her as much as I used to or that maybe we're not connected anymore .
Good teaching! I am struggling with an anxious heart regarding the salvation of my kids. It robs my joy and peace. I exchange it for hope in you Lord. I am learning to wait and trust!!

Anxiety is Emotional Energy, which comes from the “Amygdala”, or the Heart. The man, who is usually, and normally, “governed” by his mind, (logic/reasoning/truth coming from the pre-frontal cortex), tries to “fix the problem”, with his “logic”, but he is speaking “truth” from the pre-frontal cortex TO THE ISSUE COMING FROM THE HEART, or “amygdala”. This is why the Word of God says to men, “love your wives”, and to wives, “respect your husband”.
Christ had BOTH influences, and was well able to speak to women and also to men, understanding the differences. Having HEART and MIND, working together.
You rock brother. I love God even more for providing for us, your teachings.

When I was an unconverted confessing Christian I was Vegan and believed animals were as valuable as us because they were part of creation. I would absolutely have found the statement that we are more valuable than birds to be offensive.

I listened twice to this sermon! I didn't think about the exact focus of anxiety as being on temporal things as Voddie explained it but it makes good sense to me now.

Dear Voddie, I love you dearly and can’t get enough of your sound expository preaching.
Regarding wives being anxious or whoever for that matter, we need to get alongside that person and build them, up, empathise, help them get their focus back on Jesus and the gospel, His atoning sacrifice…..
Some men, some husbands are not very good at that.
Any anxiety however seemingly trivial to others, is real to the sufferer. We need to be reminded of these truths.
It doesn’t sound like he denounces that anxiety is suffering… nor treated it as trivial…

Jesus warned us in Luke 21: 37(?) Do not be overcome by the “cares of this world”. He said, “My Peace is not the peace of THIS World…” Jesus teaches us to be “self-controlled” in 2 Timothy 1:7, “you have not been given the Spirit of FEAR, but of love, of power, and of self-discipline, (which IS a sound-mind).

as someone who had sever anxiety myself, I think you have only defeated your anxiety when you master your mind, emotion, and you have accepted whatever God's plan will be for you.

Testimony from my account is I use to worrie and stress and have aniexty for reasosn I didn't understand or know I was not at the time strong in faith I decided I need serve God and Jesus and ask for salvation ask for repent over ny flesh and soul my heart to take away the bad seeds in me to remove all that is stopping me from being happy because of aniexty and negative thoughts and speculation I belive and love Jesus my life is in his hands and Jesus has removed this all from me now I don't worrie about tomo or later today or what I will do in the next minute or hour because I trust full wholeheartedly and souly I am protected and coverd by almighty father God in all senses and God provides in every way you need not want and thank Jesus and show praise and mercy for the love and gracious loving merciful God we have repent and give your life fully to God you will feel and see and act diffrent for humbleness will take your and happiness and gratitude will be with you and all the holy spirit will keep you calm and safe and a overwhelmed feeling like no other because Jesus is in your presence always and forever Amen ❤ 🙏🏼 thankyou Jesus my messiah lord and savour my redemption my salvation and safe haven and all goodness and joy will be your company for evr more Amen in Jesus name ❤

I just began reading the Bible, I am not too sure where to start. Any recommendations? I want to heal from anger, worrying too much,
Start with Gospels, first with the book of Matthew. If you have a red-letter Bible, pay close attention to Jesus' words in red.
So, what if you don't have anxiety but you have high blood pressure? Should you not take medicine? I'm just a little confused as to where the safe line in the sand should be drawn. The Lord has blessed me with need for not, but I still have panic attacks. I look at them as a thorn in my side (kind of thinking about Paul having some physical thing he had to deal with), praise the Lord that I live in a time where I can get some help. Maybe I'm being diluted here, but I do Love My Savior, and if Our Father in Heaven hadn't put Christ in me I would not love him or have a passion for Our Father. No disrespect here at all. I'm just a little confused :)
No need to overcomplicate or confuse what Dr. Voddie is saying… he is not telling anyone to stop taking your medicine as prescribed by your medical physician. However, you treating your symptoms is not the same as seeking healing from the LORD. Take your medication as prescribed. But also make changes to your walk (literally and also spiritually) and seek the LORD’s will upon your life so one day, you won’t need to treat symptoms that are no longer an issue.

I watch a lot of sermons and rarely hit the like button, because I'm usually more concerned with the message, not with proving that I watched it with a "like".
I would "like" to think that the people who didn't hit the like button were more concerned with how to apply the message to their life instead of their finger to a phone screen.
Its not all about you.
Its more about being thankful for the message.
So if it's a good message I hit the like to support the message. .
That way maybe more will have the opportunity To see it. see it
And some are inconsiderate of others or maybe to lazy. Maybe its their fear of rejection or pride. God knows.
No judgement just an observation of what could be the real reason.

Not true in every situation. Sometimes it comes from foods. My husband had anxiety and panic attacks for MANY years. A naturopath chngd his diet and his anxiety went away. A lot of times it's just our food.
With a television you don't have to be supernatural. God prefer that because it's more social but we have to use it correctly. Right now we have anarchy blindness. Despite the anarchy blindness I figured it out. That proves we can be God like. Only a person getting crucified would suspect something greater. But study all church teachings you can learn so much I was raised Baptist but GOD gave me a thirst for truth and I have learned churches don't teach GODS feasts and Sabbaths instead they teach pagan myths. Before you celebrate any holiday research what it is about remember holiday means Holy Day so beware what you call HOLY.

It’s so sad that all these pastors are the same and stick with the same concept to cater to religious Christians. Jesus taught one message the “Kingdom” and these pastors preach every thing else but it. This is why I love only Dr Myles Monroe. I teach only the kingdom and I understand why God told us to only see it and nothing else. Yes this guy is very well trained in knowledge but still lack the obedience to teach the Kingdom. Jesus said when you go preach this message the kingdom not these messages.
