Budget blasters can sometimes be the worst things ever (most of the NERF ALPHA STRIKE line) or some of the best things in the hobby (the OG BuzzBee Panther), and it's always refreshing to see even a $5 blaster offer you something that makes it worth considering in your loadout, let alone a $10 Rival Revolver that's... actually accurate? Dart Zone continues to impress.

The text line overlay on your range test is an awesome change. I love it
Would you consider turning the Storm Squad into an undermount Masterkey? Seems like it has a good form factor for it if you chop off the scope.
Outline the gold names with black. So you can read them when the lights are on.

I got to shoot a kid’s Storm Squad blaster last week and was impressed by the power it had, and how slim and small it was compared to a Hammershot. Very cool!

That four shot blaster is a neat last stand deal, better than the quadrant and the the triad, and it seems like it would be easy to holster

The storm strike seems like an amazing little plinker, and at 5 bones it's really hard to argue with. The Apex seems like a great bit of fun as well, as it seems to pretty much match what you can get with a stock Kronos, still the benchmark for Rival pistols. Good times

Man, those are cool. Curious to see the internals of that rival one, and I love small, cheap pistols that shouldn't be as good as they are.
The "Storm Squad's" got a bit of a "Noisy Cricket Factor," doesn't it? And while I probably won't be able to do it in time to be able to get my nom-de-guerre on the workbench in gold, you're definitely on my "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" list.

BTW, my favorite thing to do with rival, is loading a ball AND a mega dart, cut down if need be. It turns a Kronos into an emergency mega dart shield buster
When I saw the scope, I was really hoping it was removable... But I think it's there to make priming easier

ive been wanting a rival blaster that is cheap and has good performance and doesn't use much ammo (less than 10 rounds) and dart zone made a wonderful blaster
The scope helps prime
The Optic Helps with priming, and with the Dart Zone Waffles, Diamonds and Melon darts, you can actually hit your targets.
I bought a Storm Sqad for my five year old and he can prime it easier because of the "scope". He loves it.

Just picked up a storm squad, seemed like a great deal. Took the slide off, popped a ring on the prime bar that looks like it was meant to have a ring, and its perfect. prime time knocked it out with this one

It's literally the same gun as a blitzfire just with a weird scope attached and four round capacity as opposed to the six.
Seems like pretty much an identical concept as xshot's fury 4 to the reflex 6
I want the Apex. 100% for sure I'm going to try chopping one to hell to build a masterkey to use in place of the Magnus; my local group runs with a rule set that treats Rival and Mega the same (shieldbreaker or anti-super-zombie, depending.) For the range I need, five Rival rounds trumps three Mega darts- and while I've not handled one personally yet to check for sure, I think you could shorten the cylinder by about 3/4" to make loading faster.

I threw two springs in my Storm Squad, I have to use only short darts and is hitting so hard I'm convinced it's almost on par with my Nexus Pro. It is hard to prime so my priming handle might not last long.
Box is pretty simple and pleasing, affordable, great ammo, comfortable, nice gimmicks and looks, overall these blaster are pretty great
Love my apex. Aint gonna set any records but as a sidearm for a liberator its pretty fun
File down the hop up notch for shotgun load chambers, others can be stock

The scope would actually allow you to prime it against your leg or dual wielding & priming scope against scope.
Just so everyone knows the X shot darts will mess up in the Squad Storm if you push them all the way in. If you leave them out a bit it will fire fine. Maybe even better than DZ darts.
What's your opinion of the storm squad over the xshot fury4?

K25 cut to the length of the original spring gives the Storm Squad 130 FPS, almost double stock. It also does that cool trigger rotation thing for faster reload. It's thinner, but slightly longer.
I ended up taking the safety off. It kept preventing me from pulling the trigger.
I think the Storm Strike would look great painted up like a Buck Rogers laser pistol.
I bought an apex last week. I wanna try to mod it to fire 3 rival rounds out of each tube it fires 2 pretty abysmally but they fire.
You don't know how bad I want to support your patreon every other month and waste all your vinyl.
I think both of those blasters are very war worthy
make the big one shoot darts.
Also, as everyone else beat me to mention, love the range overlay! Really useful for comparing blaster ranges without shooting them side by side!
I know I'm going off on this a bit, but I still hate that "Performance FPS" thing that Dart Zone is doing now. It's interesting, though, that your Apex seemed to get better performance than Drac's. I know you two use very different chronographs, so that might account for some variance but...it worries me that perhaps Dart Zone's quality is inconsistent.

Ugh, if it's going to stick out anyway, just put a T-pull on it and be done with it.

Adrian Sue personally I like to have the slide for cosmetic purposes and the priming bar is almost always hidden away and if you want to make it have a T-pull then it should be a fairly simple modification.
Having run a Blitzfire for a year now (also has protruding plunger rod), I have had ZERO issues with it doing so. The only time it has fired without me touching the trigger was when I smacked it on purpose to see what would happen. But even then you have to really hit it for it to do it
I bet I could use the Storm Squad to integrate with the Fair Fortune I just picked up at the thrift shop

[massive eye twitch] Dart Zone made a $10..10 FREAKING DOLLAR Revolver Rival blaster..and NERF can't get McCree's revolver right? I get it would have been more expensive than this just on the Overwatch name alone..but the dang official NERF RIval McCree pistol is a glorified Rival Jolt! This right here PROVES if they weren't such lazy hacks they could have made a McCree revolver that shot 6 shots and STILL had their massive Rival revolver that they are putting out later this year. Out of ALL the Overwatch tie in blasters 99% of people I've talked about them to are MOST disappointed by the McCree one..the others are relatively fine in their eyes, even that chunky heavy Soldier 76 blaster..which could have had a Demolisher style rocket added on so it could actually have missile firing function like the real thing..other than that and the price I got no problem with the Soldier 76 blaster and D.Va's is what it is and a good functional prop, plus it has a kickback function with the slide..I usually mained D.Va (mechs forever baby) and McCree..started playing Ashe for a bit too (cowboys and girls stick together) so between D.Va and McCree's blasters I was so hyped..and then McCree's blaster dropped the ball..5 of them..
Any idea when this will be out? Went to a couple dollar generals couldnt find one
"End of January" so typically it should already be out but both Dart Zone and Doller General aren't the best at stocking things in a timely fashion.
