You are sharing the beauty with all of us, & we so appreciate that. I feel the same about being alone, though, so I get it. How cool your old friends showed up to surprise you. Even better, new friends were formed when you needed exactly that. The trail always provides. And just like that, Spielberg leaves us with a cliffhanger!!
Hopefully you are fine. Wanted to pick up on what you said at the start. Yes I can imagine that hiking alone like that can be lonely even if it normally doesn't bother you. Wanted to say that you aren't really alone as you manage to bring us all along with you, and we look forward to every video. As ever beautifully shot videos that really get across the beauty of the States and also the emotional magnitude of in essence a simple ideal of walking day after day, but in reality a connection to the land that many of us struggle to achieve. Wanted to say thanks Craig. Been watching ever since you set off from springer mountain years ago and will keep tuning in. Take care
Another brilliant video from the master .love the fish rock and the burnt tree man such a eye for the unusual.I like my son have followed you from the start it the A T and look forward to your weekly vlogs take care out there and much regards😀👍🇬🇧😀
In true Spielberg fashion! You are so right about the fine line of solitude and loneliness. That said, the universe heard you and you found old friends and new to blend in with your journey. It is an honor to share these experiences through your cinematic eye and beautiful narration. Be strong and I cannot wait to see what happens next. I hope you did not get injured and did not lose any equipment getting drenched in what I expect was cold water.
Well it looks like that you found some people to keep you company and share the experience with. But I'd like to point out that even in the solo sections, you are sharing the beauty with all of us. Thanks for the wonderful effort to keep these episodes coming. I'm hooked.
Spielberg!! At it again. When you get to Northern Colorado please reach out! I would love to provide some trail magic or at least share a meal and catch up!
Comet! So great to hear from you! I hope it works out because I’d love to see you and will definitely take you up on your offer. The snow is going to make it difficult to get up there, but I’m hopeful!
@@craig.m.spielberg The Gila is beautiful, but my risk appetite is very low. I'm spoiled by the tread of the PCT. I hate sand in my shoes. The high route out of Doc Campbells was some of the best desert hiking I've ever done. Perfect tread, lots of flowing water, and plenty of pine trees for shade.
I wasn't as worried about this fall into the Gila as I was when you took that little tumble in the Mahoosuc Notch some years ago (ua-cam.com/video/JnPF7gfV2jw/v-deo.html)! That one looked a bit scary at the time. I'm glad to hear you are getting into the thru-hike vibe, seeing old friends and making some new ones. Excellent as always.
I can see her now, sitting back and running her hands through her hair as she creams you all 😭. Wish I were there playing with you. Those friends in the video were the ones who taught me. Hope all is well there, and please give my love to Mary’
@@craig.m.spielberg Wow. I was thinking it was something exotic and $$$. Proof that photographer talent is more critical than expensive gear. I’ll be watching, hike on!
Thanks for reminding me, Donna! I need to put that in the description. His Instagram is Iamalexkora. His UA-cam is in Ukrainian, so I can’t spell it, but here’s the link ua-cam.com/video/BBW_nfhJ40k/v-deo.html

You definitely live up to your trail name. Your cinematography is superb, and narration is second to none.
So good to see you on trail once again. I am currently binge watching to catch up. You are my absolute favorite hiker!! God bless you.
You did us dirty with that cliffhanger Craig 😂 Glad you ran into those other hikers before all those water crossings- be well!!

In true cinematic brilliance you have created the ultimate "cliff hanger." Anxiously awaiting the next chapter . . . be safe dear friend. xo
13:29 minutes of perfection! Stay safe!!
These are great videos. You don't spend all of your time talking so much, and belaboring the obvious. Thanks! For this, I have subscribed.
Hi Spielberg, thanks for this share, so nice memories !
Uncle T
Great video. Loved the cliff hanger ending!

I'm finally binging through your videos, Spielberg. Looks great man. Love the Gila footage. Didn't love hiking through it!
Thanks! Why didn’t you like The Gila? I thought it was fun, even though us was somewhat difficult

Cliffhanger!!!😮
OMG, are you okay? I guess, I have to wait for the next episode to find out.
I forgot you like cliffhangers.
ha ha! Throwing rocks down for the crossing. Only about 250 more of them!
Such great photos/video. What kind of gear do you use to shoot this?
iPhone 14 Pro Max
