As a dallas fan i gagged at the trade proposal. Jimmy to us is MAYBE worth PJ, Gafford and a first, but the salary wouldnt work and i would hate to let anything else go after them, even though i love PJ so frickin much too

As a rockets fan, I'm here to tell you there's no way in hell the rockets are giving up Amen Thompson. Outside of Sengun, he's probably the most untouchable player and yes that's including Jalen Green
He's been insane for this last week and a half or so but was getting inconsistent time before that. I think his fg% will come down a little bit when theres tape of his tendencies but he seems like Gerald Wallace with a guards handle and more athleticism. That should scare a lot of teams lol
They should be looking to move on from Cades son thompson isn't supposed to be a scorer but in there last like 17 games he's been better then green in every which way.... let this guy take the shots green.. I mean Cades son can't buy buckets
He wasn't before that unless it was for Giannis Luka Shai Wemby or like morant. Now they would probably only include him in a trade for Wemby Luka or Shai
@Identify_As_Right for sure, kings fans are desperate to trade Amen for Fox... desperate and that shit ais not happening. Amen has been flat out a all star since joined the starting lineup
Honestly that Denver-Washington trade wouldn’t be so bad because Kuzma would have open shot opportunities from Jokic’s gravity (like you pointed out) and with the passing of Jokic, Westbrook, and Murray combined, he would be able to generate a lot more points from strictly cutting to the rim which is an area Kuzma is really good at. It also addresses Denver’s lack of frontcourt depth behind Jokic. Now, the defensive problems will still remain the same but you at least strengthen that core by getting 3 legitimate guys that’ll get rotational minutes for MPJ & Zeke who’s been absolutely unplayable.
the Golden State vs the Dallas packages for Butler are so drastically different in terms of value imo. The Dallas package seems like 4x what GS would be giving up (factoring in the impending Kuminga extension)
I truly do believe the Pacers intend to work out a deal with Turner this summer, even if they have to go over the tax (which Kevin Pritchard has said he is willing to do). When it comes to just this season though, the Pacers are trying to seriously compete and Myles is essential to how they want to play on both ends of the floor. Moving him would wildly throw off the chemistry for a team that has been playing some GREAT basketball over the last month plus. The only way I think the Pacers would even entertain the Lakers is if Max Christie was involved, and even then I still dont think a trade would happen
Amen Thompson is heavily slept on. One of the best cutters in the league, has the skill set to handle the ball on offense and be a problem in the dunker spot. Ferocious on ball defender and makes it difficult for the guard to create. Great rebounder. It’s his athleticism that allows him to dominate every aspect of the game besides 3’s. Even without shooting he puts an argument against Sengun for best Rocket, more fans should catch on. If I’m the Rockets I’m holding on to this guy as long as possible
I agreee the pistons trade is a no go. Stewart has proven himself this year as the teams defensive anchor. Kinda feel like these mock trades are just done by looking for teams who need that position and matching the cap with no regard for how the team values those players.
Those Butler to Dallas Trades are so dumb. Mavs trade three legit rotation pieces (and all on great contracts btw) for Butler and also have to give up two picks??? Hahaha, that would be a contender for worst trade of all time. I wouldn't do this trade even without the picks. PJ, Naji and Gafford is way too much depth to give up for 35 year old Jimmy Butler.
#1 Miles Bridges isn't getting traded right now. His contract goes down year by year, so he would be more advantageous to teams next year. #2 There is no way Isaiah Stewart is better than him, even if you're going on purely defensive upside. Miles gives tons of effort on defense and is a good rebounder for his size. Isaiah Stewart is a 6 and 6 guy, Tim Hardaway is good for 10 pts a game and nearly nothing else. Miles is averaging 19 and 7 (more minutes, sure). His 3pt is inconsistent (31%), but beef Stews shooting 24%. Miles is one of the few Hornets that can reliably play both sides, he has a good relationship with the star player and if you're taking on Hardaway (one foot out the league) and Stewart (I've seen more highlight fights from him than plays) then you sure as hell better get a first round pick from Detroit... and that's something I doubt they are willing to lose. Hardaway you are essentially dropping ASAP to get him off the books. Stewart, however, has a contract that stretches for years. While he could make a solid back up big in theory... I really just don't think he is. The salaries aren't that far off... Miles is making 27 million, they are making 17 and 15 respectively. If they throw Ausar Thompson or Ron Holland in there in the place of Stewart that would make interesting for Charlotte. We want your underappreciated young assets not your ageing role players.
24:00 As a Nets fan i would only take the trade with OKC if the 76ers pick was unprotected because i don’t think the 76ers are making the playoffs or play in tournament this year they are too banged up
The blazers are in a terrible place and should have their entire roster sans clingan and scoot available. Grant literally has negative trade value for the next 2 years and it's unlikely the blazers will be able to trade him for the next 3. They shouldnt play him much so he's fresh for when he has trade value
@ yeah your dumb Portland has untouchables and Portland is building a monster team. with Sharpe clingin den camera scoot, that's already a deadly starting 5 for years to come. and now your adding grant Simons Willams and other players for sale for the deadline. Alongside having a top 6 pick this year and practically owning the Bucs picks for 4 years Portland is set for the future.
He hasn't been great at the mid range iso ball which used to be his bread and butter, but he's playing excellent defense and has been very good as a catch and shoot floor spacer. Plus Dame loves him.
@@jamesturk6549 yall the homie doenst get it, grant has been the odd man out and you can see hes playing without devotion and dedication. simons is on the same boat, ill trade grant for that package trade simons for 2 firsts lottery protected top 5, and cole anthony and cap fillers, trade ayton to the pels for imgram and flip ingram for a first and salary fillers. and then robert willams for steven adams or jack landole and a heavily protrcted first from the rockets. with that your getting 4 first round picks couple seconds and cole anthony who im super high on. This can solidify portland for 10 years plus and for them to be a mini verison of OKC
as a Wizards fan, even in a down year I'd rather have Fonteccio than Kuzma straight up. I have a feeling the Kuzma trade will be for Nurk though, and one of those late firsts the Suns recently acquired
Myles Turner was ineligible for an extension because his last one was only for 2 years. My guess is the Pacers go over the tax this offseason to sign Myles to a deal, ideally under $30 million. I don't think Pacers will make any more trades before the deadline.
By the end of 2026 after Mathurin's contract year. We can see who's progressed more. Obi, or Walker. If Walker, we can then trade Obi and get a really good young player/pick. Or I'd trade TJ preferably.
I agreee the pistons trade is a no go. Stewart has proven himself this year as the teams defensive anchor. I love Michigan state and bridges but he should’ve come here in free agency we had cap space he could’ve take Tobias Harris money.
tbh if Utah can't get any decent offers for Collins, get Patrick Williams isn't necessarily the WORST thing ever rebuilding teams (especially small market ones) should always look for value via reclaimation projects in trades
As a Lakers fan Ive been wanting Myles Turner for yearsss. Would be the perfect fit with AD at the 4. Id be way more willing to part with Knecht over Christie tho if one of them had to be involved. However, losing both Rui and Knecht would hurt since there wouldnt be much scoring off the bench Reaves Christie Bron AD Turner Gabe DFS Vando Reddish? Milton? Wood?
What do you think about bringing Lonzo back to town on the cheap? He's a great floor spacer that plays great on ball defence with play making upside and he wouldn't cost more than a couple of 2nd round picks. Thoughts?
@@dillamadukes21 Lonzo ball is way too injury prone (never played a healthy season) and wouldn't thrive as much with the Lakers as he is doing with the Bulls. If you can get him for really cheap then sure but his salary is really high and you would have to trade somone like Rui for sure. Not the ideal trade. Would rather use Rui for a Miles turner trade

Always interesting to see Matt find out the players he thinks r worth first round picks aren't haha. Just a reminder he thought Schroeder and Finney smith were worth firsts
I will take Sexton every day of the week in Atlanta. First off, Roll Tide. Second off, Atlanta has been playing guys like Jalen and Trae a ton because there is nobody that can create their own shot that is with Bogi not having a good year. Kobe can’t stay healthy and their backup PG is either Vit Krejci or Keaton Wallace (two way guy). Trae at some point will be ran into the ground so they desperately need a guy like Sexton to run the offense.
Cam Johnson would only average probably 12 to 14pts a game on the Pacers in most game's. While being worse on Defense and in transition. His stats are inflated on Nets.
All Pacers player's are better than Cam Johnson. So what he can shoot a 3. That's all he can do.. Day'Ron Sharpe is the only player I want. I'll throw 2 or 3 2nds for him in a I-Jax swap.
