Hi Hannah. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I really enjoy your videos. I relate very well to this. I have Virgo rising, Gemini MC and my Mercury is in Aries, 7th House. I pick up information quickly, but I feel the need to digest and dissect information and investigate each constituent part so that I can understand the whole when it put it all back together again. I observe a lot and at times, operate like I'm invisible on the sidelines, just watching and learning. Life as a child was difficult for me, but as I grew older, I became aware of a gift for healing, and knew that my calling in life is to help others and offer service to them as a healer. As a child, I became overcritical of myself, because I was raised by parents who instilled great responsibility upon me, and grandparents who expected me to be perfectly dressed and mannered, and who did not like children becoming individual thinkers. I had to learn when I was older that I am worthy of the knowledge that I have, and I have worked hard for it. I also had to break away from my family's dynamic, and learn how to think for myself. Self-confidence was something I had to work on, because it was definitely lacking when I was a child. As an older lady now, I'm more comfortable in my own skin and wouldn't change having Virgo rising for all the tea in China.
My son (age 11) is Virgo asc, Pisces Sun, Taurus moon. His temperment is chill, he has always been super intelligent (I love hearing how his mind works and he processes information- Gem rising here), creative, compassionate and intuitive. Few peers understand him, but he makes deep and soul connections with those either a few years up to several decades older than him.
I now read about how whe are biologically hardwired to bond with our mothers and how our mind constantly tries to maintain the belief that our mothers must love us and have our best interest at heart. Therefore if our mothers treat us harshly (because they are toxic narcissists) whe believe that it is our fault, which explains why it is so damn hard to recover from narcisssisti upbringing. I wrote about what it was like growing up with narcissistic parents and thing is I totally thought and still think it has something to do with me and it somehow is my fault just because I am biologically wired to bind to my "mother" as she is my caregiver. So the mind can be a very harsh prison allthough I feel like the bonding with our mothers if they are toxic it does affect our whole body, not just our mind. I tended to have ticks and cramps in my body when I was younger and whenever i think of traumatic events my whole body reacts to that. But I can DEFINITLEY attest to the fact that our perception can be MASSIVELY distorted. so yes, the mind can be a prison very difficult to break out of and maybe it is the worst prison. If you think of it: I have heard of a woman who was prostituted by her mother. So from an outside-perspective it should be clear that the mother is the one who has issues, right? Yet, even in cases as extreme as this one the daughter thinks/feels it is her fault because she is hardwired to bind with her mom. Her mind tells her that if only she would have been more worthy her mom wouldn't have prostituted her. Therefore she must be a worthless piece of trash unworthy of love etc. Imagine living your life with these kinds of beliefs. So the mind can work to our disadvantage quite extremely and can be seen as a really horrifying prison. Maybe it is the worst prison to be in, at least the worst non-physical prison. Like I said I have written about my mum and as a child and in my youth I bought into all of that and thought it was all my fault and I am deserving of the harsh treatment because it's my fricking mom. Only now in my late 20s do I get a clearer perception of how crazy and toxic and messed up my parents are. The mind does this for a purpose, though as whe humans are dependent on our mothers for survival and therefore whe need to be biologically encouraged to bind with our mothers but if mothers are toxic it can ruin our lives and destroy us! So to me it doesn't seem to far off to say the mind can be the worst prison...Surely it is the worst non-physical prison. I mean it is really extreme how the mind can lock us in and keep us from living a life of joy and purpose. I was thinking about how I'd rather not be alive than to have to go through my childhood and youth again as I don't think a life lived in that painful mindset which I was in when I was a teenager is a life worth living.
AlexanderWachsmann there are many things of what you say that might have to do much more with the moon: mother figure, primary caregiver, protection, love, care, the body... It’s not only beliefs, it’s deeper: this first relationship and bonding are created from the moment you are born, there’s no language yet, it’s very instinctual. I do think though that it gets ingrained into our mind and thus into our thoughts and believes, so Mercury might surely be related, but looking into your moon would be good too
I'll be honest I'm still trying to understand all this Vedic astrology. But I do not even know you but I understand what an incredible disservice your mother has put upon you. I have heard this from many different friends. And I just would like to say to you that there are mothers that do not even have children like myself and I am like the loving mother to everyone I know. My mercury is in Virgo. I am intensely Virgo. My moon, sun, mercury and ascendant all sit there. Yeah!! And they all sit in the 1st house too. I need to be perfecting myself. Knowing myself. Cleaning and cleansing my body is huge. I am super self critical when I feel low but can feel like how I look is a huge barometer of how people will view me. So looking at my best is important no matter what. Uranus is in Aquarius of the 6th house which might explain why health is empowering and very important. Also I am not sure where this pulls through in my chart but where I to undertake a career which would be in (holistic health and natural healing) I would need to be the best I could be, not better than anyone else (that doesn't matter) but so experienced and knowledgeable. I think that I will litterly freak out if someone would try to change something in a creation I've made in any sort of art. There is a thing that confuses me. I have a virgo rising and Venus in virgo at the same time so could that mean that Venus is also an important planet similar to a chart ruler to me?
Milena Babeva if Venus is in your first house, I think Venus would shine through your personality.. I don’t know that it would serve the same role as a chart ruler

I love the information but I slightly disagree with the assessment of Virgo Mercury vs Gemini Mercury. I am a Gemini with a Mercury in Gemini and I’m not prone to chatter that isn’t fruitful. I tend to hold off on sharing my thoughts unless I think they’re going to be helpful in some way. Who knows maybe that’s the mothering Cancer ascendant
