This is hands down one of the best fights in Naruto! This is why I love this show, the fights aren't just meaningless action but tell an incredible story full of emotions
Man, itachi and sasuke's relationship hits too close to home for me. I have an older brother and an older sister who are brilliant and exceptional in everything they do, while I'm like the black sheep of my family. And they are also very good to me and i respect and admire them so much but there's also a part of me that wishes to be like them and make my parents proud of me.
As a certain character said, work hard and you will soar high, follow your own path, and do not chase after your brother (and sister) anymore
This fight is awesome and sad at the same time.
Sasuke with his full villain mode on, the shit he said about our guys, no going back after that, rooting for his ass to get kicked! the flashback with Itachi was interesting, once again showing how skilled the guy always was and how Sasuke looked up to him :) Sasuke and Itachi here looking like proper brothers :) learning more about their family and the Uchiha as a whole is cool, they were the police force as well :) Sasuke definitely struggled in Itachi's shadow and the heavy weight of expectations :P Fugaku was a proper old school dad, not really showing emotions and giving tough love :D fun fact Fugaku is another name for Mount Fuji :) learned about some Shisui Uchiha that was an interesting story :) saw Itachi's first snap here :P
I'm so happy seeing Flexie so invested in the story. Getting to see bits and pieces of Itachi's story, I can't wait for you to see more. The character writing in Naruto is truly one of my favorite parts; makes the series so iconic.
Was amazing to grow up alongside Naruto watching this show. This is now atleast my 15th time watching along side a reactor and I keep gettin new nuances from this amazing show. I get hyped still, because I can feel your passion when reacting to this anime ^^
I still have a Shonen jump magazine exclusive from when this arc aired on tv with the two of them on the cover. Such an awesome memory of watching this week by week watching it all unfold. I've really enjoyed watching your reactions to this series, I grew up on naruto and got into bleach in my early 20's so its interesting to watch a bleach fan get into naruto lol. Can't wait for you to start naruto shippuden and dive even further into the lore and meet even scarier viilians!

You are correct. The Big One is coming up. All the slow progress, and the plot inching along... Imagine having to wait a week for each episode. There was so much potential for friendship, in the early days. It seems so long ago, they were just competitive rivals. It seems like they had such a short time as friends. Remember when Sasuke actually cared enough to attempt to rescue Sasuke from his brother? Now, he doesn't care about anyone, and is only concerned about his goal. You kinda want to like and sympathize with him, but he makes it hard. Oh well. The moment we've been waiting for is very near.
Sasuke should have asked for the restraining order, Naruto and Sakuras obsession is not healthy lol

Once you finish this arc there is plenty of fillers before Shippuden. Some are great, others are not. I recommend 2 of them. The fillers with Kee and his curry, and the one where Naruto team up with shining and Hinata. You get to see more about characters like lee, ten ten, neji, shino and hinata
