@@CHIEF_420 thst would have made sense, but she's been mostly forced to be silent, not allowed to make a name for herself to raise her profile, her only public work has been largely criticized, and there's been a lot of talk that the work environment in her office isn't very good behind the scenes.
I think they just wanted a person of color on Biden's ticket, like a reverse Obama/Biden ticket. But she hasn't been allowed freedom to do anything.
Edit: also Biden said he'd only be a one term transition president but that turned out to be a lie as he is running again.
If Biden refuses to drop out and then loses to Trump this November, don't blame the American people, blame Biden and the democrats.

For everyone who thinks he should step down should look up Allan Lichtman who has predicted the outcome of every debate since 1984. Incumbency increases the chance that a party will win. Stepping down actually makes it more likely trump will win. Democrats fighting each other is the reason trump won in 2016

At that age, you only get worse as you get older. It’s not like somebody in their 30s, who is overweight, and starts going to the gym and then starts looking good. When you’re 81, it’s a very slim chance that you’re going to get more alert, & better health, as you get older.

Biden needs to scrap the talking points and stats and just start talking to the people. He should get in front of some crowds immediately and own the “L”. Say that it wasn’t his best moment, the other guy wasn’t great either but stay focused on what’s at stake. Be self deprecating, acknowledge his age and at least his stutter again, then draw the comparison between an old, stuttering man, that fumbles his words now and then vs an old, orange, lunatic. Then remind the people that he’s in the Office now, doing the job, unemployment is lower, debt increase is lower, deficit lower, stock market higher, etc.

Why do we all have to be subject to this man's love of power and his lifelong dream of being called president just because that's what HE wants. We don't simply want a leader. Biden could have gracefully exited earlier and hammered Trump at the same time by saying it's time to make way for a younger candidate. Now it is probably too late to exit and not further damage the Dems chances.
People don't even have to make it a negative if Biden bows out. He can just say he thought he was feeling like he could handle another four years at the beginning of the election season but that's changed. Say that he fully supports the DNC's choice to run in his place. Then whoever gets picked to run can come out and say, "Hey, what Joe did is honorable. His dedication to the office is unprecedented and him passing the torch is as noble a gesture that could be made." Then we start touting the successes of Joe and the platform itself and say, "we're going to continue this legacy and continue to pass bills that benefit all Americans." Then we have Biden, the new candidate, and their VP pick all on the campaign trail just burying Trump.
I fear who the replacement will be. Like Kamala Harris. That wouldn't be good.
Two years ago if you told someone that Biden had issues with his brain health, you were accused of being a Trump supporter. Now, here we are. I said it before, he should never have run. It's too late. It's too late, and has been too late for months. No one would listen to us saying that Biden is incredibly flawed and a terrible choice in 2020 and he barely won then. He is now 8+ points underwater from when he squeaked out a win, visibly decrepit, and people have forgotten how bad Trump was. This race is over. Trump is going to win in November, and that's been the obvious outcome since 2022. There is no candidate now who could swap in even if Biden were to step aside (which he won't). Another candidate would be better, but the optics of Biden having stepped out and the new person suddenly coming in would hurt them as much as it would help.
This country is done. There will not be a presidential election in 2028. Trump will not leave office willingly, and the Republicans are more than happy to let a conservative dicatorship happen.

Reminds me of my dad's decline. The thing is that my dad was sharp right up until he was 90. Then he went off a cliff. It looks to me that Biden has been declining for a couple of years and that his decline could really accelerate soon.

This could be a great opportunity for the Democrats. They could replace Biden with a young, energetic candidate; one who is a good debater. There has to be at least a couple of dozen candidates out there that could run circles around Trump. If you put a decent candidate up against him, Trump would go down in flames. Biden is the one guy that should not be running, so, naturally, he's the guy that leadership is going to push on us. I don't know what it is with the Democratic Party, they always look like they're trying to lose.

Enough independents know these men and together with either camp they will decide...they saw what we all saw Biden failed to neutralize Trump's lies...Truth lost...reality needs to prevail.
