U.S. Department of the Treasury Tells Banks to Monitor Americans with Disfavored Beliefs

The U.S. Department of the Treasury shared an inaccurate “hate group” list to urge banks to monitor Americans with views that some government officials don’t like. Learn more: adflegal.org/press-release/re...
The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, a bureau of the U.S. Treasury, shared a list of so-called “hate groups” created by the hyper-partisan Institute for Strategic Dialogue with major banks. The list included Alliance Defending Freedom and other mainstream religious and conservative groups. FinCEN encouraged banks to monitor these groups closely for any potential domestic terrorism threats.
The “hate group” label is completely inaccurate, but it is being used as an attempt by government officials to silence ADF and other organizations who hold views that government officials disagree with. We will not be silenced or intimidated. ADF will continue to successfully defend the God-given freedoms of every American.

You drank the Kool Aid. If this was happening, don’t you think banks would have closed all of ADF accounts since they are a designated hate group?
He ADF, after all, is hell bent on erasing groups of people they dislike such as gay people, pro choice folks etc

You drank the Kool-Aid. This is histrionics. These organizations have a high risk profile. And, the ADF says that vendors should be allowed to discriminate as to who they serve. So let BofA do just that and go bank elsewhere. That simple.
