- Welcome back to Landshark Garage. Today I am doing a walkaround and review of the budget build of my 1949 Chevy truck. This truck was built from an abandoned cab and front clip and several other part trucks.

Nice 49.. love to have one myself.. thx for sharing...
It turned out great . I am doing a 51.
It looks exactly like mine
Well then you my good man have excellent taste !
Thank Mortske for the drop by. That's how I found your channel.
And he has the same mindset as me
Shout out to Mortske for sending me over. Subscribed and hit the bell. That ammo battery box is BOSS ! The truck is very nice. Well done and enjoyed the walk-around video.
Thank you so much I appreciate it !
Nice truck. I just got a '48 GMC pretty much original. I'm having fun with it. Needs brakes lights and interior but body is great. Parts shipped to Canada are crazy expensive. I hope to have it on the road by mid summer.
Great project. Can you tell me the message board where you saw the info regarding this type swap?
67-72 Chevy truck forum.
The author of the thread was skymang. I think. It was a pinned thread a lot of great info
Nice truck! I always wanted to build one of those.
really good content i follow you from Argentina a big hug!!
Flex hoses! AND headers?!? DANG!!!
All for you brother!!

Mortske sent me over said you was doing a cam a row give away! Lol
I believe its just called undercoat?
Haha. It needs a bit of work! Should be fun. Thanks for stopping at my channel I’m still trying to get the hang of it. Fun so far!
@@LandsharkGarage like your 49 pretty cool build definitely subscribed!!
Do you recall where you saw the CAD drawings for the body mounts or have a link? I'm just starting on a '52 and would really appreciate it
You bet. Search 67-72chevytrucks.com. There is a 47-59 section and it is pinned in the forums under faq thread index . S10 swap how too the guys handle is skymangs.
Cool truck! What did you use for driveshaft and steering column?
I got the driveshaft from south west speed. I just sent them the measurement it was like 289 bucks. The column is from a 85 gmc s15 I believe fit in there very nice. I had to make a custom bracket on the dash. Wasn’t to bad
Just barley getting into the classic truck scene and I got a question. What’s the point of changing the chassis? All the videos I see they change the chassis
It allows you to have modern drivetrain and be able to lower and modify it some will stay with origami chassis. I found the s10 conversion pretty straight forward
Lost me at S10 chassis...... pass
