OMG Thank-you!!!! I "thought" I hooked everything up, but it turns out I switched cable in with cable out. Your video saved me so much frustration, time, and $ to get someone over here to figure it out. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this video! :)
Wierd but good advice. The world will need your videos in 20 years when we have robots do everything. People will be like wish I could do this myself lol.
Good explanation, but I’m helping someone who doesn’t have an HD cable box. Although an HDMI cable is used to connect the cable box to the TV, there are 3 component wires connecting the cable box to the TV. What INPUT do I select to get more than the Antenna Channels?
If yellow-white-red - they are not component, they are composite. You only need either this from the box output to the TV input. Or the HDMI. However, if there is no HD subscription the HDMI port on the box may be disabled and only the composite output will work.
you would need to either run a cable from a different room that does have the plug or (if there's no plug in the building at all) get an antenna or satellite dish
@@catherinew435 just to clarify, does it mean that when you have the coaxial cable, you don't have to own a satellite dish or antenna in order for you to be able to use your television?
Myy coaxial cable that i had to buy because it didn’t come within the Uverse receiver is too big for the TV but fits the receiver. Also the HDMI cable fits on the receiver but not the TV. I am lost!
I still can’t do it though its like the movie SAW. But with this tv n cable box n roku sending it to second floor no problem but I run it down stairs n if it’s not one thing it’s the other no matter how many UA-cam videos how to do I watch n rewatch …

I need to use coaxial cable. My old TV doesn't accommodate HDMI. HELP!
ABSOLUTELY OBNOXIOUS VOICE.
Without illustrating what it does to the TV, this isn't very useful.

Is that wall connection is from Antenna?
Mine doesn't have any cable attached and it says cable disconnected. I have no idea why my tv switched from wifi to cable mode.
It connects to the net from another galaxy.
It should be specified.
