My big complaint in the USA, is that meat, especially chicken, doesn't keep well. It is older than the label says. I've noticed that sea food, especially shrimp, is labeled as wild caught when it is farm raised in asia. There's a big difference. The best seafood comes from the local sea food store or off the boat. Shrimp have to be 3 days old before it can be peeled. Fish that have the slime washed off will not keep as it contains its own natural antibiotic. Home grown by a small local farm is safer, fresher, and tastes better. No preservatives. It costs more, but there is a reason. Oh, and GOD didn't change egg sizes, the USDA did. GMO produces more, but that is the only good thing about it. Ask if the farmer has "heritage brands". Veggies and produce from California is bred to ship and store well.
A lot of that meat is glued together with some product called meat glue. They have multiple different pieces of meat from different animals glued together. Also, different bacteria glued into the meat. It's banned in most countries with standardized Healthcare.
I don't bother with bags unless needed to contain (ie cherries, brussel sprouts...) because the bags just bring in more germs. The purchased items already have been touched by everyone after coughing and pooping. I wash it all with Dawn and Vinegar.

I was laughed at for years by some because I stop to Bless my food no matter where I am. Now, I'm 63, and I don't need any medication for anything. the omegas are different in farmed vs wild salmon. If I remember correctly the wild has more omega 6 than the farms. So much so you can look at it and tell if it’s farms or not, just by the colour.

Celia, govt is in bed with the meat barons, sugar daddies and big pharma.Do you really think the govt has your back when they're making profits from the public's ill health? There's more money in keeping the population sick. These days it's kids who are targeted to consume food-like products only to become future customers of the pharmaceutical companies.Do you really think that a bunch of strangers have your best interests at heart when they can easily profit from the misery of others?

He can't even cook anyway.

I was informed by a colleague that worked for Parks Canada that they take farmed fish and put them into the ocean. So, we are technically buying farmed fish even though it's labelled Wild Salmon
aaaaaand this is why i grow most of my own food.
+trybal007 Wish I could too. I try to get most of my food local.

Yes Lord🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amen!
L A thank you. We can avoid a lot of things by just not eating garbage. God never said we had to eat mess. He convicted me of things I was eating that aren’t good. But because i asked him. The Bible says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
The tried & true way to know exactly what kind of fish you're getting is when you take it off the hook yourself.
Only problem there is the water is contaminated. How bad we really don’t know. Fukushima, BP oil spill, and a few other oil spills.
But don't forget the water currents which bring all sorts of poison to faraway places. Mercury is a big problem in fish. And now the Pacific Ocean is radiated from the Fukushima Power Plant which has been leaking radioactive water since 2011 and destroying the environment.
@@citizencoy4393 Right! pollutants in fish flesh could include microplastics, mercury, etc. Here is a quote from Scripps- "A new global analysis of seafood found that fish populations throughout the world's oceans are contaminated with industrial and agricultural pollutants, collectively known as persistent organic pollutants (POPs). The study from researchers at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego also uncovered some good news¾concentrations of these pollutants have been consistently dropping ..."
Actually, the good news is that we don't have to eat fish. I get my omega 3 from flax seeds, walnuts, seaweed, and to be sure I get enough, a DHA supplement made from algae. Eat lower on the food chain to avoid bioaccumulation of pollutants.

I hope this episode stays available to watch on utube
did she just grab a cauliflower and not put it in a bag... well there you go there is your problem
😁
that's why you wash it at home...
I don't bother with bags unless needed to contain (ie cherries, brussel sprouts...) because the bags just bring in more germs. The purchased items already have been touched by everyone after coughing and pooping. I wash it all with Dawn and Vinegar.
FBGmoneh lmaoooo
Do they provide paper bags?
Good thing I'm poor, can't afford to eat those crap anyway.
lmao
It's usually the crap food that's the least expensive.
I don't agree, I cut my budget in half when i became vegan ;) At least i don't have to worry about all these problems linked to meat consumption.
+DeborahWav You just have stinkier farts.
+lemon fish at least it doesn't smell like putrefied, fermented flesh....
I'm not Canadian but man seeing this makes me wanna become a Vegetarian now.
If you go vegan, you will be sick in 2 years and switching back. Pick your poison, meat is essential for healthy living.
@@RingwelskiJacek youre exactly right. Vegans shrivel up and waste away. Their health is always extremely bad.
J M seriously? There’s vegans on major sports teams, we do not shrivel up just like with everything else you have to have balance. The only vegans shriveling up are the ones that don’t have a balanced diet and end up eating too little
@jacek ringwelski
Nope. I have a perfect bmi and no known health problems. You should do proper research before speaking. Being vegan is safe if done correctly

It’s heat that kills bacteria, not overdone meat.

0:55 seconds in and I'm already grossed out is that bread just exposed to the open air? Anybody could walk by and sneeze on it, so gross.
And to think this doesn't happen in the U.S.? Think again!!!

In USA, feed for chicken has antibiotics which ends up in the chicken u eat along with glyphosate ( Round Up) since they are fed gmo corn. Solution - organic
“I mean I shouldn’t have to worry so much about what I feed my family”
Wait what?
I just started binge watching these Canadian shows today , and so far I learned Canada’s a scary place 🤣💀🤦🏻♀️
The sad thing about that is your country is probably worse hah.
I was laughed at for years by some because I stop to Bless my food no matter where I am.
Now, I'm 63, and I don't need any medication for anything. The Blessing sanctifies the food for your nourishment and health. This is a Bible promise. So, when I realized the problems with our food many years ago, I deliberately prayed over my food even MORE.
It's paying off for me.
You can always trust GOD for HIS Word.🙏
No animals were harmed in the making of this television program.
XD has you see dead skinned chickens on racks.
Back in 2008 my mother ate a chicken she cooked then spent 2 weeks in hospital fighting a bug that had never even been seen in chicken before.
Department of Environment and Health spent a fair bit of time conducting their own tests while she was in hospital.
Glad she made a recovery! Scary stuff!
It literally makes me laugh when people complain that they don’t want farmed salmon but go ahead and eat chicken or a steak for dinner 😂
the omegas are different in farmed vs wild salmon. If I remember correctly the wild has more omega 6 than the farms. So much so you can look at it and tell if it’s farms or not, just by the colour.
@@TyroneFelix yup
If this happens in Canada, you can be sure it is also happening in the USA and elsewhere.
One more reason, we should all be vegan.

Btw, whatever I still chose fish, seafood over meat.
I grow up eat fish, seafood only, now these day ppl start eat meat as daily meal cause fish, seafood is more expensive than meat is cheaper.
Surprisingly "meat glue" wasn't mentioned.
I thought for sure it would be too
@Sue Taft it's an enzyme that once it it is put on different cuts of meat makes it bond together. So some crooked people could say they are giving you new York strip steak when you are actually getting 7 bone which is a lot cheaper for them but more expensive for the consumer.
This is another reason why I'm vegan!
+Kelly Sult -___- like raw spinach never had e coli outbreak... bruh.

"They Don't Really Care About Us" Michael Jackson
Very informative information. Thanks for sharing this with us. This has helped me so much.
this show is the best example how different opinions are brought to truth with the facts, but comes with subtle sense of no solutions to the psuedo problems explained, means its a kind of fearmongering to last consumer who doesn't care and even if cared businesses won't change as to bring such change there will be costs and the customers do not want to pay more, because they don't have more.
and now with Japan's nuclear disaster Pacific salmon are no longer safe.
That is for all fish in the ocean it happened in 2011 and still being pumped into the ocean.
Maybe I shouldn't have watched this one while eating a medium rare steak from the grocery store.

j/k but not really. Just don't think about it too much. :D
Wildmuff , "don't think about it too much" is solipsism. It will be your undoing if you don't comprehend. Humans are MEANT to be symbiotic with Earth. Instead they CHOOSE to be parasitic carnists. Recall carnists are NOT carnivores... Carnists are frugivores / herbivores CHOOSING to eat corpses.

Chicken is to be washed with vinegar or lemon or salt or a combination of. Everything it touched and the surrounding area is to then be thoroughly scrubbed with bleach, soap, and warm-hot water. Also thoroughly SEASON and cook the chicken properly. Just how I grew up.. 🤷🏾♂️
