What a chore it must be to stop, set up your camera, ride past, then come back to retrieve the camera, and then go along your merry way again. Well done! This travel documentary is well made!
It makes my day every time I get a notification that you've uploaded a new video! This was awesome as usual - thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
I know it’s been said before, but I’m blown away at your pursuit of adventure AND commitment to quality documentary film making. Hats off to you for raising the bar while clinging to a handlebar. Onwards!
It's amazing how this channel keeps getting better and better. I love everything about your videos: images, music, comments, places. Every time I see the notification about a new video I stop anything I'm doing and go watch the video with a big smile on my face. You inspire me deeply. Keep the amazing work. Enjoy your trip. Looking forward for Central America. Much love. Greetings from Brazil :)
I watch many cycling bike-packing/touring videos, I have just discovered your channel and now look forward to viewing them all. Absolutely first rate and I can appreciate the effort you take to produce these while travelling long distance and often in not the easiest circumstances. Thank you.
Absolutely excellent series of episodes going up through south America, the scenery has been outstanding!! South Bolivia, WOW!! I've downloaded your buyers guide and I'm getting close to choosing the right bike for me!! Thankyou , hangloose
Colombia actually has a few dry areas, though often small, there is one that is bigger than Slovenia, this one being the Guajira dessert in the Guajira peninsula, in the north of the country. By the way, those palm trees you saw are Colombia's national tree, the Wax Palm tree, which is the tallest palm tree and part of the Andean cloud forest. Such great work!!!
From forbidden parcs with volcanoes jumping to 2 sweet dogs ...was a bit of a surprise, but great video. Amazing images. Nice shots. Keep going. Enjoyed it very much.
Absolutely stellar videos of your tours. I've done some touring, but not near as extensive. I can't tell you how much I appreciated the dog people interview as I am currently gearing up to take my border collie along on part or all of the Great Divide next summer. I'm 68 and had knee surgery last spring, so slow and methodical is the mantra. But I figure if I don't give it a go, it won't be done, and I'll regret not trying. I notice you don't have any mirrors. I can't imagine not having my Adventure Cycling helmet attached mirror to let me know who is coming up behind me. I watch one at a time to savor the fantastic scenery, excellent job.
Thanks! Make sure to check out StepOutAndExplore's website or social media channels - lots of insights into bringing dogs on bike trips. www.stepoutandexplore.com/en/
Amazing!! Thanks for sharing! I'm so curious about all the extra hustle behind the scenes: going back and forth to place the camera(s) where you want it for the different shots, preparations (food, clothes, etc.).
Echoing everyone else, can't add much! Just sooo enjoyable to watch, although I'm sure it's not always so enjoyable riding/filming! They call it "type A fun", I believe? Best to you on future travels!!
Dude I've been watching a lot of travel videos lately.. of quite a few cyclist as well, but none as mesmerizing as this series.... My goodness the landscape in all your videos seem unearthly.. thank you so much for sharing your lovely experience 😊. Really nothing better than traveling by cycle.. u can go to places vehicles can't go and it's cheaper and gives more satisfaction after reaching a certain destination 👍
great video shows why colombia is one of the best latest discoveries of the world's tourists.... i am sure you didn't even show 5% of all you got to experience but it does makes justice to the places you visited. thanks again great video.
Man, I get so stoked every time I see you've posted a new video. That single track section looked gnarly for a loaded touring bike! Can't wait for the next episode.
Your commitment and determination are inspiring! I have been a subscriber for some time and find that I am ever looking forward to your next video. You and one other bicycling touring channel are the best. Thanks for all you do. Amazing work on the filming and editing.
I have now watched most of the South American videos and am truly impressed with your ability to persevere in what had to be some very difficult riding and hike a bike situations. Maybe you should go pro as a mountain bike downhiller! Love the Mexico episode with your Kiwi friend and having travelled Columbia, I enjoyed seeing the incredible diversity that defines the country. Thanks for sharing the miles. Had a nice mountain bike ride this morning as Utah is tough to beat, but this adventure touring is pretty incredible!
Wonderful video once again Alee. The quality of your content doesn't stop getting better ! The music was particularly good in this one. My friend and I are currently on our first bike trip from France to Norway and your keep us motivated and inspired to explore more (we had our first hike-a-bike experience and it was definitely worth it hehe) ! Ride safe (:
That's awesome! I'm sure you've already pushed past your comfort zone, taken some bigger risks and had some cool experiences - but I hope there are tonnes more. 💪🏼
Excellent video mate. Amazing work. Keep on going and produce quality videos, you are a reference. Me and my girlfriend are currently cycling Mexico (although we're on hold because her bike got stolen and we're waiting for her a new one...), but we'll be in cycling across Central America in a couple months. Hopefully, our paths meet!!
@@Cyclingabout wow. Im happy you reply my comment. 😁 . Yeaah its true because Am watch all your episode on koga bikeventure. Btw am indonesian and i am a cyclist too. Waitting for next episode .
Such remarkable scenery and a very interesting video. You ride the hell out of that Koga on some sketchy terrain. Have you ever thought about a plus bike? It would slow you down on pavement though. Anyhow, keep it up, love your videos.
It's all about finding that on-road/off-road balance when crossing multiple continents! I've just switched to 27.5x2.4" slicks and am looking forward to seeing how it goes - so far, so good! 👌🏼
CyclingAbout I live in brasil. I just got my first bike in years , got a rockhopper hard tail before I knew I wanted to do cycle touring. Still it's got rear pannier mounts and 18 gears. Can't really bring myself to get another bike.

Incredible journey with pleasing music! My bike touring is limited to the C&O Canal and Great Alegeheny Passage (Washington DC to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania) and I am thoroughly enjoy the excitement and adventure of your tours! !I do not judge your choice to traverse through the National Park and am sure you're not the only person who snuck through. You are just riding a bike and not hurting anyone but it could be considered trespassing. My only concern is possibly being arrested and jailed in a foriegn country having consequences not equal to the risk. Since corruption and bribery dominate many judicial districts ( I'm not saying this is the case here) a person may not be able to recieve adequate judical representation and potentially wind up in a costly, time consuming remedy for such actions. I realize too that your entire adventure is a high risk for the unknown and this one incident may only be a fraction. Anywho, nothing terrible happened so all is well that ends well!
I weighed up the risk of getting caught (and the associated ramifications) and decided it stacked in my favour if I crossed at the right times. Worked out text book in the end!
Hi Alee, what focal length do you generally use with your 100-300mm lens? I will have a six months trip and at the moment just a 24 70mm lens and would not want to miss pictures like yours. Are you going to show some behind the scenes or showing how you are filming? Best regards, Juliian

i am just wondering why you are not using the front fork with suspension??? i see that you are riding on off road often
