A little tip on skraank: Use the team set up and make him prioritize his A3(HP burn). His A2 places increase attack on himself before attack(while not stated) if target is under HP burn, so you want A3 out first. But somehow Plarium has coded his AI to use his A2 first. You need to fix this with pre-saved team.
isnt that the way plarium codes auto teams artak is kind of similar always using A2 before A3
@@edwardbakadingo4261 Artak does that because he wants to get decrease attack out first, a pain in the arse sometimes but it's like a general rule across different champions. Skraank is kinda different here, there's zero advantage for him to use his a2 first. Btw dude this is a 10 months old post lol

EverQuest - Vex Thal - pre-instance raiding - the guild fights were legendary! (The raid spawned 1x per week per server.. so people would "camp" when spawn time was expected - then call guildmates to log on at 3am to beat every other guild on the server.)
Oh yeah, I remember my gf at that time calling out of work for raid spawns so often she got fired 😂
oh man, EQ. bringin' back the memories of monk feign death flopping through dungeons before they made it way harder to do, but still pulling it off most of the time!

EverQuest takes me back! It was the Wild West in the beginning, and I am so glad I was there for it. What a crazy time. Great times!
Struggling hard trying to figure out as a newer player how to build teams(only been playing abt 3 months). These videos help so much. Especially since I have Achak, Coldheart, and Skraank I now know I have an excellent start to a spider team. I've been stuck on almost every dungeon being level 13-14 because I struggled to understand the mechanics of how to build a team. Hopefully knowing now how I can start those 3 and what to prioritize stat wise (accuracy for both Achak and Skraank) I'll be able to slowly progress. :)
Vex Thal was a raid area in EverQuest 1.
Dude, you just brought back some serious 72 man raid memories in EQ. Lol. Yeah, I’m old.
Skraank is 1 of 3 most underrated epics out there. the other 2 being Geo lol. Seriously, the other 2 are Tagoar, and Hotatsu. Although Tagoar is starting to be a bit more known now with your recent showing of love for the Orcs' Bone Collector. All these 3 sit in my own top 10 epics.
I have both Modecai, and Skraank. I use Mordecai where turn meter control is valuable + Hydra because he places through that nasty poison cloud. Otherwise, I use Skraank when I want to pump out more damage, a lot more damage with no affinity issues, as I don't have any of the shiny leggo pyromaniacs. Tagoar is an epic god scratching on the door of many leggo's, and Hotasu brings a lot of utility, but his passive is so good for removing cc debuffs on himself, he can then just continue pumping out his buffs/debuffs on short cooldowns. All 3 are just overlooked because they don't seem to do that much at a glance. However, I will say just one thing on that... Stag Knight.
Vex Thal had nothing on Crushbone lol.... D'VINN TO ZONE!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Man, the trains in Guk, the nights camping Seb. Absolutely magical gaming. Also, yes brother, it happens, it happened to me, and I started a youtube channel about it... The yard... The solace... The peace....
I got Skraank few months ago and he's great. Void affinity burner with AOE burn on a 3 turn cooldown.
Plus, he attacks with his aoe burn, so you can put stun set on him and he'll apply hp burns and some stuns with 1 ability.

thanks for continuing with these videos Ash. After a year (at least) of a break from this game ive been tempted to get back into it. Always looked to your videos before for tips so here i am again.
Vex Thal was from EverQuest. My characters started on The Nameless and were eventually merged to Erollisi Marr.
i literally pulled my first skrank the other day and said hmm he might get me past spider 23 (painful at around 5-6 min a run with drex as lead doing burns when hit). i saw this video which confirmed it for me - thanks!
my team is DK in the lead - takes all hits all affinities with his passive
scyl for healing / random revivie and some stun (not full booked)
sepulcher for a bit more defense and random attack down
coldheart - meh why not im lucky to have her at 230 C dmg so she hits hard on the maxHP)
skrank is also not fully booked (maxed the aoe burn skill and stopped) nor full masteries - basically the accuracy masteries to bring him 209 acc)
DK is built for my older spider teams before i had any burner - RES is 343 (inc tier 6 def unshakable) to avoid most poisons and just absorb the hits . works out perfectly
best time 1:33 but i haven't seen (or recall) hitting 2 min mark at all
Still got this guy in my vault cause his reviews and his kit looked decent but I wasn't quite sure where to use him, just might put him on the list to build! Appreciate the vid! Hope you are doing well!

Mordecai's hp burn skill does not land any hit (meaning no weak hits) so hell put on the hp burn no matter what the affinity is
And it can be placed through poison cloud.
Off topic, any idea where I can find info on pain keeper? I've only seen maybe 2 thumbnails of her but no builds.

I got a Skraank in early game along with Fylja.. Love them both, they carried me so hard until I pulled Mashalled and I still use them both in so many parts of the game.
been using him in one of my hydra teams and all my >20 spider runs, hes amazing!!! hes dishing out half the damage of the team. hes really good and can absolutely compete with most if not all hp burn legendaries in the right setting. recommended for everyone. im even thinking about building a second one lol

i think it's better on that team to change dhukk with visix to make sure that team more survive. i use coldhart, achak , visix (to prtect coldheart), sycill (bakcup plan if visix die) and mordecai as burner
Cool alt to Mordecai. I wish burn were more useful. I feel like it underperforms outside of spider and maybe bosses.

It was fun to watch you get so excited to beat spider 21. Which I know you have done a trillion times on your main account. I don't know this just hit different.
EQ shadows of luclin. When our guild beat vex thal and all of a sudden we owned over and over. We were tight going into planes of power.
Im stuck on my last set of spider. I have udk but dont use him for it. I use a lot of burners though. Drex, geo, elanaril, and love using miscreated monster.

Skraank is my go to on spider and hydra. I have 3 Skraank and in the process of building another so I can get more damage on hydra. My biggest issue is gear and books.
Doesn't Mordecai land his burns same as Madamme Serris? He's not hitting so I assume affinity is not an issue? Do you know if thats true? Im asking cause i see no difference even when pairing him against Spirit champs, hence my assumption.

I could not agree with you more. I came back to the game 6 months ago and he was the first void i pulled when coming back. 2 days later ! pulled a 6 star awakening for him. Since then i use him all over the place. I put him in relentless and perception and man he just pumps. Especially love him in Hydra as my burner.

Dude, I always hated yardwork, until I decided to delete my lawn and replace it all with pollinator friendly plants and a cool Mediterranean style patio. Now I love nurturing new plants and watching things grown and fill in the space. Immensely rewarding. I'm also old AF, so yeah, maybe that's it too.
This is off-topic, but I have a question. I chose the clan quest of killing 1,000 spiderlings (20+). I used around 30 multi battles in Spider Hard but didn't receive any "points" towards the objective. Any ideas as to why? You have to beat Spider 25 in order to progress to Spider hard. Thoughts?!
Hard mode doesn’t count towards clan quest. I know plarium should do something about it, but for now that is what it is.

He's my CB DPS on my Myth-Heir comp. I replaced Ninja so I could build Ninja for Hydra and other PVE stuff. He 1-keys UNM.
I'm F2P for over a year now. The only money I spent was on VIP, to support a game I enjoyed. I stopped when they started money grabbing. I've been end game forever now. It's totaly possible for F2P to get emd game.

Pulled him before, used him as food pulled him again last week and kept him..my first month playing I already had 3 hp burners including Sicia .

I just signed in for the first time since Razz last day fusion. Fused it and stopped playing until today! It was nice! 2.25 years everyday 12 hours a day! I am set up as FTP! I just signed in for the first time today! Didn't let my clan know I was going hiatus. I am the leader. Had IRL stuff. They understood cause still there doing their thing. I really don't wanna play anymore after a week and a half off! So much time I am backing off and playing casual from now on. I am endgame No Care About Any Arena! I'm happy enough to quit I realized! Anyway good luck y'all!

Took me over two years, and I still haven't pulled Paragon.
Don't worry, when you will, it'll be coldheart every other shard, I got him after playing for a year, and I'm less than two years, but I got five of them now in the span of last 6/7 months 🤣

Whos better, sicia or skraank? I have both and i wanna build one of them
Both has 100% chances for burn to land on the target if booked. The only different is on their skill CD time which is 3 turns for Skraank but with Sicia you need to wait 4 turns. So if you only want to use them only for burn then Skraank is the better choice since he just an epic champ thought, compare to legendary Sicia
Just realized that achak has that strengthen on a 3 turn just like morag. Not sure if he’s noticed that yet but hey, that makes 2

I definitely get the hp burner hype. Was stuck on Spider for so long. That walking tomb dreng fusion was god sent
I love Tomb dreng. So good in Spider, but i found him very helpful in Hydra too.

Bro I had skraank but fed him, I didn't realize he could have been a burner (that was before i got drexthar and tyrant) now I have tyrant and he is still 5 star and he does the job really well
I've been struggling to get past spider level 14. I'm 10 days away from getting Drexthar and about a month away from getting Scyl. I'm coping okay elsewhere but lacking revivers and burners at the moment. Hopefully both will help me progress a bit further as I desperately need better gear and some diversity in champions

I have both Skraank and Mordecai, and Skraank is imho stronger. He brings weaken, he smacks like a beast and he has HP burns.
Dhukk could be rellaced by a tirn meter controll champ like armiger so the spider doesnt get a turn
i pulled both achak and skraank early on in the beginning and i even 60ed both but *never* used them X_x the main reason being that my first legendary was elder skarg and he's prolly better than both of them, that guy is a goldmine of good skills if you understand how he works.
I got elder skarg two months ago. Not sure where he is useful yet

@@cailasunstorm3856 I am done with fws for that faction, scyl ( not even booked a d mediocre gear ) and alika made it easy. As for doom tower of he can help me in hard stages 70+ the yes he might be worth it. As for spider I got ixlimor I need to lvl and even without him I can do stage 20 with 90% success. So is he worthy of Lego books?
@@frickxnas the thing is, his burn is unbooked already on a 3 turn cooldown, but for DT I would at least go for the 2 -1 cooldowns on his A3, makes him a better control Champ there. So you could build him like that as a sturdy control-burner, but if you go all out with him, you would build him for damage too with 70%critrate (he buffs himself with his A1) and then his A2 smacks right through block damage or unkillable buffs (he just steals them and attacks after that) with a 6 hitter on 2x multiplier...
@@cailasunstorm3856 yeah his a2 can hit hard, but building dmg + tankiness+ accuracy to steal the buffs u mentioned is not an easy thing to do at least for doom tower hard when u need at least 300-400 accuracy. Same for arena. I rly want to believe in him but I am not sure yet

i love the idea of doing content on a ftp account, and if you only spend on chickens i would still consider it a good approach to do guides on a realistic account without all the massive (great hall, faction guardian) buffs
