My hit-air vest just saved me 3 weeks ago after getting hit by a car and body slamming in the middle of the freeway. It’s pricey but there’s zero price for my own life.
@tilted6774 I asked Helite via email, this was the response: "The backpack provides the same neck and back protection but, due to its design, a little less protection for the lower rib region."
Alpinestars and Revit, are the two that I am familiar with Neither of them require a subscription The newer models already are user serviceable, with the hope that older models will most likely get the same, once they’re updated Most of those work with any gear AND while I do understand that some people distrust technology, and don’t want to rely on it, there is no data that points to them being less reliable (there is a lot of human error potential, for sure, like forgetting to charge it) While a tether won’t help you if you lowside and slide with the bike
Yes, my fave description: Motorbikes are the best thing in the world, until they are not! e.g. sitting here 5 weeks after an accident with 4 fractured ribs and a dislocated AMC joint. It's ride with a vest from now on or never ride again.
I’m planning on getting a sport bike and I don’t care if I get made fun of for wearing an airbag on me. At least I’d be safer with it then regular clothes
Subscriptions for airbags, what a world we live in…
Oh im sorry we had a technical glitch so your payment didnt go though and the vest didnt deploy but no we will not be paying your extra medical bills
Like we don't spend enough on these machines, parts and gear. Wtf.

Good on you for promoting rider safety bro. We all want to be around for a long time to keep riding 😎
Hit-Air uses the same tether activated technology is more breathable, made in Japan, and $100 less. It’s what I wear when I ride.
Anyone against safety equipment of any kind in any industry or sport is not a professional and their opinion is invalid.
Yesir I agree! Love the content keep it up big homie!
I've been wearing a E-Turtle 2 for a while. Won't ride without an airbag now. Just ordered the back pack version.
im trying to figure out which one to buy, but the backpack one doesn't look like it immobilizes the neck very well
@tilted6774 According to Helite the backpack has the same level of protection as the vest everywhere except the side/hip area.
@@DARTH_FADER where did you see that? ive looked at them deployed on people, and theres alot more room for head movement with the backpack

@@DARTH_FADER interesting, i appreciate the info!
I like alpinestars t shirt style. Covers arms/shoulders. Protects the collar bone

Helite E-turtle 2 maybe the best of both worlds???
This thing needs to be a solid $200 👍🏻
This is what I bought. I’ll never ride without it.
You dont need safety equipment
Until you do

Have you gotten one? 😊

Id rather live being laughed at then die respected

People who try to look cool in front of others have insecurities and are making up for something.
Dainese doesn’t have a subscription does it? I know AS does
Your next inVestment
I ride without protection because I am suicidal but I wish people wouldn’t copy me. I find it ridiculous that some find it ‘cool’
Subscription for airbags?
Did i hear that right? Surely not.
Yup. Klim's airbag vest can be purchased as a subscription. If you don't pay, it doesn't inflate.
Dont give tesla ideas
Cam you wear it under your jacket
You can.... if the jacket was big enough so it would have to be a few sizes up from your normal size and you cant have the collar closed at all
In winter I ride with my parka on over it. Just have to make sure there is room for the air bag to expand
Spidi Airbag Vest... Cheaper, C02 bottle, Tether
