If you try you surely will enjoy. Only sambal expert knows the trick of doing chicken sambal with these ingredients.please don’t compare with rendang lah pulak 🤦♀️.Do you even know what goes inside the rendang, kerisik ,coconut milk, Li mau purut , daun kunyit, bunga kantan kunyit hidup which gives whole different flavour for the dish. I have seen many videos n pic of her sambal in Instagram.. Its exactly the same.. The funny part is people said its not sambal by looking at the color. Ahhaa too funny la.. Hi dear, there are 2 kinds of dry chili (from my knowledge) the first one is india chilli which is super spicy and secondly China chilli. If u can handle spiciness, go for india chilli but just have to caution u that it’s super spicy. If u opt for india chilli, use less first and increase gradually. And yes u have to soak the dry chilli in hot water for 5 mins and blend it, adding little water. That’s all. Happy trying dear.

Sri lankans have a dish called sambol.. which has scraped coconut n grind chili mixed together.. so sambol became sambal... and modified with turmeric galanggal etc etc... n its Shantis version. And wit the addition of Indian spices.. anise n sweet sticks.... Its definitely aromatic... Indian Sambol..

Cut the dried chillies and remove the seeds if you dont like it too spicy.. Go for India Chilli... it tastes better
