I gotta say bud. I had been listening to mine whine and grind for maybe 6 months. I tried getting it in to a mechanic because I didn't think I could do this my self nor would I have the tools. I watched this video. Ducked up to repco and got the part and grease. Got home and gave it a crack. The quotes for this at my local were $220 a side. In under an hour I had it all done and back on the road for $55. You're a legend mate and I owe you a beer.
Good gear. I am interested in knowing the correct torque on lock nut. I had bearing noise, replaced the bearing, tapped it with a punch. Had to re do it because noise continued. Second time round, packed more grease into the centred section (to dam the grease into the bearings and stop it coming out). Tapped it tighter ... and still more noise. There is no play when trying to wiggle the tire at top and bottom. So third (next) time, I will remove the hub and definitely confirm that the bearing race / cup is properly in (yes, I did use the old race to drive it into place...maybe not enough) and then really tighten that locking nut (but still check for movement) Thanks for the video. PS I think a milk crate is as endemic as the telecom rope. Maybe they should hand them out at citizenship ceremonies.

Happy to help. It's my first time I made a video. I'm glad you guys got something out of it.
Is yours 2wd or 4wd? im getting qouted $122 a side just for a bearing kit for my 04 4wd rodeo from repco?
Great help thanks mate! Now just have to do it 😂
Great video man. Big help!
Happy to help mate..
The spacer at 7:55 was on the out side of the flange but when you put them back in you put them inside the flange 29:17

Never go bush without either. 😂
I can almost gaurentee. Your sitting on a milk crate while doing this wheel bearing. No hate. My milk crate is red.
Yep, I'm either sitting on one or putting something in one..

This is the 4wd.. that sounds a bit steep
@@aaronmealing7198 Burson's wanted $160 a side and supercheap were $76 but have to order in.... I need em today. Repco did em for $106 in the end.
There are two sets of bearings.
Low rider was average of 50 bucks, then the high rider was 120ish.
