Loll your parents sound hilarious 😅
I would take it as a compliment and also that you will have to knit them their own Sille vests this year 😅
I liked watching your video and hope to be this proficient at knitting this year, I'm only 3 months in as a new knitter 😀✨
    I subscribed!

Haha they’re quite the characteristic sometimes :) My mum beat me too it (she’s also a knitter) and ended up knitting my dad one as an “apology” for stealing his :P Ooh 3 months is so exciting, may your knitting journey be fun and full of pretty yarn! Thank you for subscribing!!

Great round up. I have the knit this book by kutavakika and have knit through most of it. Not having short rows at neck is fine for her patterns. The free rye sweater by tin can knits has a way to add after the yoke if you want. I am making a beautiful blue ivy sweater with Patons wool. Affordable and wonderful. Have you tried it? I might copy ur Florence stripe sweater. I am getting fisherman’s wool in late January

Thank you! I have Kutavakika's book too and ADORE it (though I haven't actually gotten around to knitting anything from it :P There are too many good patterns out there). It was the first knit book that I purchased and honestly was (still is) so inspiriting to flip through! Thanks for the tin can knits reference, I'll def look into it :) I haven't tried patron's wool but want too!! It seems like a good alternative to fisherman's wool - especially for those who don't live near a Joann's! I fully credit the design of the step-by-step sweater to KatieDoesKnits! But totally recommend, I LOVE how that sweater turned out!

The green hat story made me laugh, my mom told me the same thing when I gave my dad a green and white hat one year and for ages I thought it was something she made up. This was a delightful recap and I enjoyed seeing all of the lovely things you made in 2023!

ahah! I totally thought my mum was making it up too and almost didn't frog that hat! Only after a wiki search did I then take it more seriously :P Did you end up repurposing that green/white yarn?

Loved your Summer soufflé top and now I have to make that one too! 😂 and the Robinson wrap cardigan is something ive been looking at too for a while but completely forgot about, thanks for the reminder! Seeing it again I start to think how well it could be a great addition in my wardrobe! I would also love to hear, do you have any favourite yarns that you have knitted this year? 😍 thanks for hanging out with me while I was working on my square neck camisole by Helena Beba 😍🌲 I also have a knitting channel here on UA-cam, so if you have the time I would be really happy if you wanted to check it out 😍

Hi Merja!! Thank you for the sweet words! I’m glad that I was able to remind you of some patterns (there are so many good ones out there that sometimes you forget about the ones youve seen before). Also, such a good question about favourite yarns - the 2 that stand out is the sweet pea sock yarn from Fireweed Fiber Co (Canadian based hand-dyer!) and the Katia Cotton-Yak (for reasons I mentioned in the video). But honestly, I’ve really enjoyed all the yarns I’ve tried this year! Do you have any favourites? 💕

Sorry. The bub won't wear the vest. Says it's too itchy. Might try a turtle neck with it...if I can convince him
