    07:55 This is an insane advice!
    At 07:33 they said that the 100% chocolate is free of sugar and even diabetic-friendly, which is true, but then they procede to advise to eat it with dried fruit or peanut butter, both of which are full of sugar! With an advice like that you might be better off enjoying your 72% or even 50%+ chocolate, the ammount of sugar you consume might even be lower.

      ya but fruits have fibre as well as sugar. anyways having abit of fruits with 100% cocoa chocolate is probably less sugar than 50% cocoa chocolate

    • @illya.b
      @illya.b 6 місяців тому

      @@Bobbylim323 dried fruit does not have water and less fiber than a normal fruit, but way more sugar hence my criticism of the advice to substitute chocolate with dried fruit or peanut butter, especially for diabetic people. So no, a bit of fruits, especially WITH chocolate as you suggest is not better. Essentially it's just consuming sugar with sugar, just in different forms. Chocolate, dried fruit and peanut butter are high sugar content products and substituting one for another does not lead to health benefits.

      @@star999nine you do know that other countries exist, right? And, despide you claiming that one brand of peanut butter has no sugar and it's, aparently, one of the most common in grocery stores wherever you live, it doesn't mean that: a) it's available everywhere on the Planet; b) people will buy this one brand of peanut butter; and c) other brands of peanut butter do not have sugar as well.
      Also, you said nothing about dried fruit, did you? So, you commenting just to nitpick my comment and feel good about yourself, while I commented to warn people of potential danger of a bad dietery advice in the video.
      There, now my outrage quota for today is met.

    Some brands have lower amounts of lead and cadmium and hence are better choices. Such as some dark chocolate products from: Ghirardelli, Mast, Taza and Valrhona (Abinao 85%). These are not easy to get in the UK though, apart from the latter.
    Not sure about Hu or Montezuma. However, both have published details stating that the levels in their products are acceptable according to EU standards - yet those levels are still very high.
    The bog standard dark chocolates in the large supermarket chains may have larger amounts.

    What about "dark chocolate", does a "bulk rectangle version" exist?
    What about the tray like half width of Cadbury maybe to wrap like that using aluminium?
    Planning to combine own recipe: choc-percent maybe like that as a "stocks left" type of website 1 day. Sometimes we just desire a kind of sweetness in life, the positioning and location of "safer from voltage from equator hole" could cause to be inside house, online order.

      Thats because conventional chocolate are high in glucose percentage than actual cacao. Sugar breeds and ferment in gut. Also depending on context. Saying chocolate is bad is just generalization without any context.

      quack doctor lol. she should only stop eating it(always in moderation) if she has preexisting gi issues like gerd, ibs, crohn's disease etc. if it is sugar free, some artificial sweeteners like sugar alcohols can cause digestive issues in some people but it is unrelated to gut bacteria balance. The only real issue with eating too much chocolate is the sugar.
