Installing CUSTOM Fortune Auto 500 coilovers on my IS300!

- After months of being lowered on a free set of blown ebay coilovers, I finally made the decision to upgrade! I got a set of fortune auto 500 series coilovers built custom with 16k front springs and 12k rear springs. The quality on them is great and honestly the employees at fortune auto were a big help when it came to making the decision on what I should get!

Hey bro thanks for sticking with me! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
It's like not even sketchy....love it
Haha, just found this video! Can't wait to get mine!
Just subbed I owned mines since brand new it has 327k on it and it’s still my daily
First ones out, only took wayyy too fukin long 😂😂 You're a fool ! Appreciate the humor in your content, been following for about 2 years. I almost made the same ebay mistake for coils on my IS but thankfully my friend said he'd SWAT me if I did so instead I'm still saving up. Keep up the content. Cuz im lazy and like to see someone else do it first hayyoo
I appreciate you watching bro! Honestly I wouldn't have done the ebays either if they hadn't been free 😂
i got a is300 recently and watching alot of your videos for some is300 content
Well I got some exciting stuff coming stay tuned 😎
@@RotaryDaddy alright bet thanks man
Boom the good low vibes!
Love the vids and content! Keep it up!
Appreciate it! 🤘🤘
Got me thinking about new coilovers for mine now👀👀
I won't say too much cause I plan on doing a review on em later, but they're FUCKING nice lol
Time to go turbo now 😈
Boost is imminent 😎
I have a 2001 Lexus Is300, I want to put coilovers but I want to keep oem right height.
I do believe the normal length fortune autos can achieve that but I would call their technical support and make sure, they're super helpful!
5:27 that was the very first thing I did to my car was remove that 😂, it lasted 2 days under my ownership
Honestly looks so much better without it. They don't even do anything lol
@@RotaryDaddy exactly
Actually early for once 🤩
I appreciate you watching bro! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Super jelly ❤️
I got a set of maxpeedingrods coilovers with your name on em if you want em 😎😂😂
@@RotaryDaddy bruh, I’m jealous of the fortune auto’s NOT the maxpeedingrod 🤣 appreciate the offer tho, but I will pass
No, crazy is not even having big brakes
Spoken like a man of great stature 😎
Any update on the coils? I’m looking to get some new ones that don’t bounce to much.
Honestly with the custom spring rates I got these are the best feeling coilovers I've experienced on IS300's. I've ridden in ones with bc's and obviously the maxpeedingrods and these are miles better
Part number on the clips please
should I buy a is300 with 98k miles, bit of rust, clean interior, overall looks very clean 2 owners but it have a Evap selenoid leaks (check engine is on) for 6k (CAD$) ?
Depends on how much rust and if you have to pass emissions! honestly it's a low miles car so if all the maintenance has been kept up with it might not be a bad buy!
What year and where is the rust?? Honestly if there's any rust that sounds kinda sketch.. low mileage is good but make sure it's not salvaged or been in any accidents. If it has find out what damage was done, check for all the vins in the right places. And also what code is it reading? If it's like p0442 not a big deal but post it up so we can help.
Do you got a link for those clips you used on the truck? I feel the same with those stupid clips lol
They're super annoying lol yeah these should be the ones!

Can't go wrong with Fortune Auto or BC Racing coilovers! Get low!!
The best in the business! 🤘😎
TEIN has something to say about this.
what 's your wheel offset and size ...thx keep it up
they're 18x9 +30 all around! Thanks bro!
Good idea bro ceramic coating 👊😎☯️I do something I clean my just like you do you are not crazy we just love our girls to much bro 👊😎☯️love my Leksi I keep her rims brakes tires spotless like I keep my shoes clean spotless
Yay decent coilovers! :D How is the spring rate? I kinda wish I'd have gone stiffer than 12/10 now :(
It honestly is not that much of a difference in ride quality to lower spring rates, feels good feels tight, the dampening adjustment helps dial in the exact ride you want, and I can have it lower without worrying about my fenders getting baconed lol
@@RotaryDaddy Dampening only controls rebound though. It won’t actually change the stiffness of the springs. I have my dampening on half similar to what you’ve got atm. I think if I could go back, I’d have gone for 14/12. Never mind 🤷🏻♂️😃
@@RotaryDaddy did you opt for the swift springs?
@@TurboJetMech nope these are just the plain fortune auto springs just a slightly beefier spring rate
@@RotaryDaddy sold! Thank you
What made you go with that spring rate?
I actually called fortune auto's tech support! They were super helpful, I told them my goals with the build and they gave me the suggestion for these spring rates and honestly I couldn't be happier! The stiffer spring rate makes the car feel nice and tight but still comfortable as a daily driver 🤘🏼
what size rims are you running they look really nice on the lexus im trying to get similar cosmos for my build
Thanks bro! They're 18x9 +30 all around
@@RotaryDaddy are you running any spacers since ive gotten offset 30 wheels before but my spoke was scraping against my caliper so i dont want to make the same mistake again
@@ivanthereaper9190 negative but offset isn't actually what changes that. There's no regularly supplied measurement for wheel brake clearance so when I was deciding on wheels I made sure to look for ones that were advertised as having good amounts of brake clearance and the xt006r was just that. Honestly if it doesn't expressly say I would email the wheel company and get some measurements of the inner wheel contour to make sure they fit.
@@RotaryDaddy thank you appreciate a lot

Ever had an issue when trying to lower the rears that the spring came loose? Preload got affected while screwing the shock body into the mount?
Nope, as long as the preload collar is locked down it shouldn't be able to move when adjusting. I've never had any issues
@@RotaryDaddy i see, mine for some reason was affecting the preload. raised the car and i believe I had more than about half inch or so of preload in the rear and it was too rough.
