The street culture is something that black people have to reject. It's poisonous and dangerous, but for some reason we keep hanging on to it. It's like knowing you have cancer, but instead of treating it and getting rid of it, you try your best to make it spread even further. We have to make the street life unappealing and make our kids ashamed to be apart of it, because only losers give up on life and want to aspire to be criminals. But it's hard to do that when you've got the powerful music industry advertising that it's cool to ruin your life. All we can do is pray.
