    Africa has given the world an exceptional civilization which has provided gifts to the world, religion, mathematics, science and medicine, technology, architecture, art, etc. which surpasses the current civilization by being in harmony with nature. The first musical instrument was invited in Africa thousands of thousands of years ago before Caucasians appeared on the planet. We are living proof.

Like they say you can take a brother/sister out of Africa but you cannot take the African in them. I am in tears listening to the instruments, the sound is so therapeutic. Nomads you rock and we love you for the work you do. I am surprised Zambia will allow a business woman to stay but not with her family. Very strange immigration law. Ngobla and co need to look into the unfair terms, its inhumane to separate families like that.

    Good to see you walking down the streets of Victoria Falls town or city. In 2001, I had found it to be a beautiful town & their tourism was well advanced compared to ours in Zambia which is trying to catch up. The white man left Zimbabwe in 1980 with well planned towns & cities which the locals are maintaining. In my view, Zambia has struggled in terms of town & city planning because we got our independence with less educated people in 1964 & failed to follow what the white man had left compared to Zimbabwe. However, as you can see both countries have a lot to learn from one another.

    • @chongomukupa4467
      @chongomukupa4467 2 роки тому +3

      I am sorry to disagree.It is not about getting independence early that has led us to fail to continue with good planning for urban development.We just don't attach discipline to that area! Botswana got independent barely 2 years after us and had more challenges in terms of skilled human resources but their towns and cities are more neatly planned than what we are still doing with all the qualified manpower that we have.

      Did you have to shoot down your own country like that??

    • @inigomulaisho2809
      @inigomulaisho2809 2 роки тому +4

      Priorities changed; when Zimbabwe got it's independence, with President Mugabe at the helm, Zimbabwe was one of the most illiterate countries in Africa, but Mugabe, with a hard core zeal for education; turned it around and made Zimbabwe one of the most literate countries in Africa, you have to remember, Zambia at independence, had only 100 university graduates, and 1,000 high school graduates. This was not by accident but by design, the were never any intentions by the white settlers to groom the natives for takeover; it was quite the opposite, in South Africa and Southern Rhodesia, more was spent to keep the natives illiterate than was spent to make them literate. Therefore the argument whether independence was granted too early, is immaterial because the was never any sincere attempt to put the Blacks on a constructive path of self rule. The difference between Zambia and Zimbabwe is the white settlers, early on, had decided to settle in Southern Rhodesia, eventually leaving Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland, to Blacks & Indians. The white settler business model, catered for whites financially, and socially, and left little for the Black natives. The resultant infrastructure from white settler rule, was accidental, unintended, for Black takeover, hence the armed resistance by white settlers in Mozambique, Angola, Zimbabwe, Nambia, and South Africa. It is rumoured, the Portuguese settlers, in Mozambique, went so far as pouring concrete in the sewers out of anger and disgust to incoming Black rule. The lack of Infrastructure is a tell tale sign, especially in minerals rich countries like Zambia and Congo DRC, of over accommodating contracts, between govt & foreign entities. These scandalous contracts are heavily weighted in favour of foreign entities. To put it simply; Zambia & Congo DRC, over the recent commodities boom decades, have been deprived of infrastructure as a result of corruption, at this stage, 60 yrs on, the white settler infrastructure story, should be a historical footnote but it instead looms so large, and seems relevant because of the effects of grand scale corruption. You are deprived of infrastructure as a result of corruption. Countries in the region like Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Mozambique, Malawi, Congo DRC, and Tanzania, are rich countries that over the decades, were poorly managed; if everything was put in order, not even Dubai would be able to compare infrastructure wise.

      @@inigomulaisho2809 very analytical and educative.It helps those who keep mourning for white man's salvation to start understanding that we need to take the destiny of our countries in our own hands and forge ahead to create the countries that we want! Colonialists had to be flushed out! It is up to us now to chart our way forward and some countries are showing us good examples!
