I think also Leopard Rock or Troutbeck Inn in the Eastern Highlands do not put TVs inside rooms. Having a TV is not consistent with the product/service they offer. You go to these places to unplug and refresh; to appreciate nature as it is. To escape. And sometimes things like TVs and internet connection add the very noise you are trying to escape from.

I remember going to Vic Falls back in 2011,one night when we were going back to our Hotel rooms,my 7 year old nephew saw a Giant Hippo eating grass just a few meters away from him, thankfully he had been taught in school about Hippos so he did not panic or scream,he simply pulled back and walked towards me.I was shocked when he pointed out at the Giant Hippo eating grass,so I grabbed his hand and we walked back to the foyer, then when a guide came to clear the Hippo,we walked back to our Hotel room, but that was a close call as more people are killed by Hippos than any other animal.
Getting back to this channel, let me say thank you brother Steven for taking time to showcase the beauty of Zimbabwe,I have never seen anyone capture such beautiful shots of our country like you have done. This was your first time in Zim and may you please come back again, hopefully you can visit Mt Hampden where they are building New CyberCity and New Capital city, that City also has our new state of the Art Parliament house which is the best in Africa and one of the best in the world.

The contrast between indoor luxury and rustic surroundings is interesting. You should also have covered the grand old lady - the Victoria Falls hotel. It is also interesting that there is an exchange which trades exclusively in forex - the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange. I hear the government wants to designate Vic Falls a special economic zone, if it hasn't done so already; in the same way that China designated Shenzhen a special economic zone. Matebeland people have always resided there, the falls are called Mosuwotunya which means the smoke that thunders. David Livingston was a colonizer who lied that he discovered the falls when the Zimbabwean people already lived there. It’s like Christopher Columbus story about America, you cannot discover a country when Native American Indians already lived here. Thank you for all you do!!!

Exactly the reason you have given as well as the fact that it's smack in the middle of the national park. No noise pollution for the wildlife since you are in its natural habitat. The same goes for Wi-Fi which disturbs them with its electromagnetic waves, known to disorient birds and bees, even causing the death of the latter. The earth's magnetic field is altered by the presence of other radio waves.

YES honey, According to Wikipedia.... Light pollution is the presence of unwanted, inappropriate, or excessive artificial lighting.[1] In a descriptive sense, the term light pollution refers to the effects of any poorly implemented lighting, during the day or night. Light pollution can be understood not only as a phenomenon resulting from a specific source or kind of pollution, but also as a contributor to the wider, collective impact of various sources of pollution.
Although this type of pollution can exist throughout the day, its effects are magnified during the night with the contrast of darkness. It has been estimated that 83 percent of the world's people live under light-polluted skies and that 23 percent of the world's land area is affected by sky glow. The area affected by artificial illumination continues to increase. A major side-effect of urbanization, light pollution is blamed for compromising health, disrupting ecosystems, and spoiling aesthetic environments. Globally, it has increased by at least 49% from 1992 to 2017
