Toronto Food Stories - Site Visits: Malvern Urban Farm

Toronto Food Stories artist residency continues ✨
For our final in-person site visit we met with another community partner, Malvern Urban Farm.
A project of the Malvern Family Resource Centre, Malvern Urban Farm is a 2-acre farm located on Morningside between Neilson and McNicoll. There are around 14 farmers, each with 1600-square foot plots on which they grow food for themselves, their families, and their neighbours.
During our visit, Claire - Food Justice Projects Coordinator at the Malvern Family Resource Centre - gave us a tour of the farm and shared some of her future visions for the space. She also brought us over to the weekly farmers' market which takes place on Wednesdays, where farmers can sell their produce to the community.
